Hi ladies! My name is Brandy and I am 26 yrs old and happily married to a wonderful man. We have 3 beautiful children together. One is my step daughter but I consider her as my own. Gemini, my step daughter, is 8 yrs old. My daughter Rory just turned 3 and my son Seth Elijah is 14 months old. I'm a proud follower of God and do children's ministry, music ministry, and online ministry. I am a survivor of childhood molestation and rape and enjoy helping, counseling and encouraging those who have suffered the same abuse. I counsel moms suffering with depression and moms caring for children with a past of abuse. I am also educated in preschool curriculum and play time activities. I am excited to be a part of the group and look forward to sharing and building friendships with other moms!

You can do it !! I, too, am a single mom with 4 children ages 9,8,4,3. Its hard, but worth every moment. My best advice is to make sure to take time for yourself (it truely benefits both of you). Even if its only a couple of hours a week, just enough time to relax.

Well thank you both for the warm greeting! It's wonderful to meet you both! It is always wonderful to come across people you have so much in common with! Amanda, I could write 20 books worth of advice, lol. Accolades to you for being there for your baby even though the father decided not to. I have a very high respect for single moms. First thing first, even though life is no longer about you, always be sure to make time for you. Don't be afraid to ask for help from friends and family. Second, don't expect yourself to be perfect. No mother is perfect and we all make mistakes. Always focus on what is best for your child and what is healthy for you. For you to be the best mom you can be, you need to live a healthy life style. Make sure to read to your baby as much as possible. Reading enhances brain function as well as increases the bond between you and your baby. Take one day at a time and just do your best. If you truly love your child, all else follows! You're going to do a wonderful job!

Hello! I am also new to this. I am still trying to figure it all out. I am a 26 year old mother of 4 children. Blake is 9, Alyssa is 8, Taylor is 4, and Leah is 3. I too am a Christian woman who leads the Preschool Program at my church. I also run a Christian daycare group home. It is so good to have some contact with someone that I have a lot in common with. Hope to hear from you soon.
