If your going for something common, then they are all nice. I like names that finish in that sound, but when I was pregnant, I had a girl who I named Cyanna, but we had Jayden as an option and found too many people naming their babies that... so we switched the first later.. and did Caden or Kaden.

What do you think of those?

For one thing, what we think shouldbn't matter. =) With that aside, I like Brayden but it is really popular like someone else said. Jason is also a more popular name, but not so much with this generation. Perhaps you should talk to your boyfriend about names he does like. If he can't come up with some perhaps he should stop shooting down all the names you come up with.

I wanted to name my son Jayden, the only problem I had is that there are SOOO many, Aden's, Braden's, Caden's, Jaden's, and Zaden's these days that I just wanted something different. So, I would say don't do Aiden or anything that rhymes with it! I ended up going with Jaren, which is my husbands name added together. Josiah+Aaron=Jaren!! In the end, you should go with what YOU like!!!!

There are braydens all over in my area so i wouldn't name a child it (but that's just me) Jaiden is very popular as well. Jason is nice.. but just like the other two you may find that there are 2 or 3 other jasons in his kindergarten class. I don't really like having my kid being numbered because there are so many kids with her name in the same class. My kids do not have popular names (I have a Kaitlyn ,no one in her whole SCHOOL has this name. An Ella again no one with this name and a Matteo.. same thing.. no one has these names at all and i like it that way)

But in the end, it's your baby, your choice. go with your heart on this! you can only name this baby once! make it a choice you love.. because giving a baby it's name is your gift to him!

can someone please tell me why people think that just because the fathers are not the ones to give birth that they have no say in naming the baby? you made the baby together and raising it together so you should have the same right in choosing a name?

Jaiden and Brayden sound like girl names to me, and I just as a rule really really detest names like that, the new ones people are coming up with that mostly end in -en. Thats just me, but Jason is a good male name as isnt as popular as it once was.

Braedon was what i was going for, but we changed it to Bradley, to Benjamin then decided on Spencer. It'll come to you. We had 4 kids, hes hispanic im white, it was a challenge to find one we could both feel good about. but it'll hit you.
we just would think about all the nicknames kids could give with every name. remember how mean, and inventive kids can be...

My fiance's name is Jason so I am kinda partial to that. However, I think Brayden is nice as well. What is the middle name you are considering? That to me would be a huge factor in deciding the first name.

Damien, Parker, Derek, Nathan, MacKennen, Dalton, Davis, Zek, are a few good names. When I had my Children I let their dad pick the boy name and I picked the girl name. So when we found out what they were we could say their name during the sono. I have a boy Damien and a girl Marissa.

The way my husband and I have doen it, he picks the middle name and I got to pick the first. The other thing we did is both went through the baby book and write down names we liked, then took names from both our lists. We have 3 kiddos so we did it a different way each time
Good luck with your names.

Make a list of all the names you would love to have for your baby and then tell him to pick one and that is the name for him. That way he "picks" it, but technically it is your choice. You are just guiding him in the correct direction :)

Tell him your carrying the baby for 9 months and if he'll trade with you then he can name the baby. Jaiden is a beautiful name.

I prefer Jason over Brayden. I think Brayden is becoming the new Christopher in popularity. I like more traditional names, which is why my son's name is Nathan. It's not that common, it's not too old fashioned, but seems sort of timeless. nonetheless- no poll is going to tell you what name is right for your baby. you and the bf need to COMPROMISE, and select a name together!

personally i would go with jason but only because it works with an adult so he wont dislike his name later on in life brayden sound like a childs name so as an adult he might not like it.

just a different view on things i chose savanna as my daughter name not only because i loved it but if when shes grown and dislikes her name she can always be called anna.

so to wrap it up lol i like jason much more :)

Jaden (Jaiden, Jayden, etc) is a verrry poular name these days! As is Brayden.....My son's name is Bracin, which is not a name you hear often at all-which is kind of what we were shooting for :) maybe do some more baby name research! or like some of the other girls are suggesting-combine two names.

I have a 4 1/2 year old boy named Jayden, at the time the name was not very popular. But now I see it everywhere, along with every combination with aiden in it. Love the name though, would not change it for anything! Jayden is a very soft loving name & fits my son perfectly! We are expecting our second & so far our boys names are Noah or Dylan! Good luck!!

Between Jason and Brayden, I like Jason better. Then again, with my boys I tend to stick to more traditional names and names that are hard to taunt with; while I can't pinpoint it, Brayden seems a bit easier to be converted to some form of taunting. (I could be weird. In fact, let's just chalk it up to me being weird.)

Maybe you two can decide on a middle name first, then see what names you like that sound nice with the middle and last name.

If it helps, my boys are Nicholas Patrick and Gregory Quinn, and if/when our last child is a boy he'll be Simon Timothy.

I know 2 Jaidens, 2 Kaidens, 2 Jamins and an Aiden... I would say Jason is less trendy... depends on what your style is, if you like that he'll have the same name as lots of other kids his age or not. I find DH much more fussy that I am with names! Boys are the hardest too! GL
