our babys middle name will be Gene, amd his last name will be Madden. I absolutley love the name Uriah and i think Uriah Gene Madden sounds great together. I also love the name Chailen Gene Madden, but he doesnt like that either. What should i do?

Both write a list and compare, you might come up with something the other is ok with and then work with that.
My husband picked my sons name and my daughters name, although we were still discussing names while I was in labor. We had previously agreed on a name for her and he changed his mind 1/2 hr before she was born, but which point I really didn't care what she was called. I wanted Teighan, but because he decided he didn't want to use that any more I gave him 2 other names that I liked, Skye or Ashleigh, he had to pick one or I was going to call her my original name. He picked Ashleigh.

Well does he have any ideas?
When I was in labor with our first we couldn't agree on a middle name, and my then-fiance let me pick because he felt bad for me! So maybe you could try to get him to agree while you're in labor :)

dh picked the first name of our first son and i picked the middle name. then for our 2nd son i got to pick the first name and he got the middle name. we agreed on this before hand and he tried to change his mind and pick the first name of our 2nd too. We we ended up going by the original agreement.

Choosing a name is so hard to do especially when you have to agree on it with someone else. I love Chailen...but you both have to agree sooo. What we did was, pick the letter we absolutely wanted it to start with and started searching sites and just looked at those letters. It's a long process but eventually you both will find one you like. :) Good Luck!
