help my waters broke yesterday still no signs of baby

My water was broken for 16 hours and very little was happening, my midwife told me to take 4 tbsp of castor oil with some gingerale and I was in active labour 30 mins later. good luck!

Most hospitals don't let you leave after your water breaks, because of the infection thing. That's crazy that they sent you home. I would go somewhere else! I had my son after 8 hours of my water breaking. Best of luck!

you arent supposed to go longer than 24 hours after your water has broken due to high risk of infection!! i would go back and insist on being admitted!!!

I was late with my son and I looked up online natual ways to induce labor. At that point...I was desperate. One website said that pineapples can natually induce labor although they had no reason for it. So if I were you girl...I would be buying and eating a ton. Also walking, stimulating the nipples, a hot bath. Google ways to natually induce labor. You will be surprised what pops up. Good luck hun.

Hiya i dont know how true this is really but my baby showed absolutely no signs of coming and I went out the night he was born to the pub as me and my partner were so convinced he wasnt coming anytime soon(we had an induction booked), obviously i didnt drink acohol but all night i was on the orange juice and after a while i started getting stitchy pains but i thought they were nothin ( i had had them before for the last 2 weeks of my pregnancy) well i went to the toilet and i couldnt believe it, i was bleeding really badly so i told everyone includin my partner we had to get to the hospital. it is really funny because me n my partner were only really usin that as an excuse to leave! we were so tired and ended up gettin a kebab on the way hme, we really didnt take it seriously. we got home and i was bleeding really badly so we did go hospital in the end. i was exmained and they said i wasnt in labour or anythin and that it was just a show and to go home!! they sent my partner home that nite- as soon as he left my contractions started and they were so severe but they exmained me again and said my cervix wasnt even open and it was fake labour and to have a bath. i knew my son was comin thou when i had the bath, i could feel his head descending!! my partner was called and i was 10cm dilated. i had our son a hr and half later. first birth. i still to this day believe the orange juice was to blame as i had been knockin them bk like nothin!!!

When I had my baby, my water broke at 11:30am on wednesday and I went to the hospital and she still hadnt came by 12:00am thursday, so they ended up doing a c-section...They told me it wasn't good to go that long after your water breaks to not have the baby come out yet...

Your water broke yesterday?....thats good if they told u to come back after 24 hrs...it is not safe in there....after 24 hrs after ur water broke....it can cause infections n everything else..i would go to another hospital n get a opinion
