On of my twin girls had it really bad as well. I tried many of the formulas out there and it kind a helped out. I was told by my husband mother to boil water with rice cereal (1 gallon water 1/2 c cereal to begin), once it boils let the rice settle and only use the water part. I would then use the water as regular water with the normal formula. What it is, is that since rice water is heavier it will settle in their stomach long enough to help then digest it. I didn't want to do it at first but then my doctor told me that thats what these formulas have. Read the label it might have the info there if not look online. I know this is kind a crazy but it really help after that she no longer had problems. Good luck!!

My little girl has that as well. The doctor said she had acid on her stomach which would keep her from keeping her food down. He told me to feed a little bit a time. She is breast feed and she usually eats both sides down, so I just feed one side at a time for about a week and she seem to be doing alot better

my daughter has reflux and my health nurse told me to prop up her cot and when i feed her dont lie her down while she drinks put her in a sitting position in ur arms to feed. it has helped a lot for us and i use karicare formula.

My son had reflux as well when he was younger, we ended up having him on a medication for it called zantac (it was a liquid medication) and we used Similac formula. It did end up helping in the end. There are also ways to help ease it like trying to feed him sitting up, rubbing the back upwards when burping as well.

my lil one has it too. not really bad tho. they say to keep them in a up right/sitting position for about 30 mins after feeding. you could place a pillow underneath the crib mattress to make a slight incline. using a pacifier after can help too. good luck

has the doctor put her on anything/ my baby was on zantac which helped a ton she came off at her 6 months appt and so far so good... m y 5 year old on the other hand is still taking prevacid for his... no advice on formula as we nurse

My daughter had bad reflux for weeks when she was first born the hospital told me to put gaviscon in her bottle it worked well for her

hi my son is 8 months and i have finally got somewhere after thinking he had a milk allergy because i had tried all the different milks and he was still sicking up, so the pharmacist suggested gaviscon infant tou mix it in their milk and it creates a 'film' to prevent the reflux so maybe this might help your little one too you can buy it at the chemist but after trying a box and it working i am now going to ask for a prescription

My son had reflux pretty bad. I remember a day after he was born he quit moving and turned a shade of blue in my arms because he was choking. That was when he was diagnosed with it. The doctor put him on a few different meds that didn't seem to work. What our doctor told us was to elevate his head for a while after he would have a bottle. And at night we would put him in between a nursing pillow and that's how he slept for a few months. He has grown out of it. He grew out of it before he was 6 months old.

My daughter had reflux for the first few weeks after she was born. I couldn't breastfeed because it would mean that she was laying down, then would lose anything she ate. We ended up having to hold her upright after eating for a minimum of 20 mins. Doctors never gave her anything for it, most of them thought that I was exaggerating what was "spit up," it was really frustrating. Another poster mentioned that it just goes away on its own eventually, which for us was very true. It doesn't last forever... but while it does, it is rough. Good luck.

My daughter still suffered silent reflux now but its not as bad anymore. Basically i was breast feeding and had t0 use karicare thickening agent and that helped massively i also elevated her bed and was told to give her a dummy because the sucking of the dummy helps keep the stuff down. The thickener can also be put into normal unthickened formula so u dont have to keep unsettling the tummy . Hope this helps

hi. my son had reflux when he wad a baby.No specific formula really helped so he was put on medication that he had to take 4 times a day until he was about 8 months and then twice a day until the reflux went away at about a year. It was called Reglan I think but he did great taking it, he never fussed. my baby girl is almost 2 months and i think she has reflux also so we're going to have her put on the medicine too. I know you are feeding formula, but have you tried breastfeeding? Sometimes the reflux can be caused by the certain formula you have them on, so try a different kind. Some tips... After you feed her don't lay her down right away- for like 20mins. They sell a elevated sleep positioners that could help... Don't feed her large amounts at one time. Feed her a smaller portion then just feed her more often... If it's bad though, you should bring her to the doctors, they can give her a prescription for Prilosec or something. Also they might take an x-ray of her belly just to make sure her insides are ok!! I hope this helps!

MY LITTLE BOY HAD IT AND HE WOULD CHOKE AND QUIT BREATHING. THE ONLY THING THAT HELPED HIM WAS TAGAMENT THE DOCTORS GAVE HIM. HE WAS ALSO ON THE FORMULA ALUMENTUM. I WILL BE HONEST IT REALLY JUST HAS TO GO AWAY ON IT'S OWN. JUST MAKE SURE SHE SITS UPRIGHT A LOT AND PUT SOMETHING UNDER HER HEAD WHEN SHE IS SLEEPING. IT DOES HELP.
