Crystal..Your healthcare providers seem really unithusiastic about giving you that blood test.

Why cant you just go to your GP and request one?

Go to the doctor....get a blood test done, you will need to do that anyways to confirm the pregnancy even if you have a positive pregnancy test at home.

thank you everyone for helping me..I got my period but the only thing is that its really light..so I called my ob-gyn and they told me once its stops. try taken another test and if it still come out as no then i go in a get a blood test.

You could be pregnant.  I took a test on a Fri and Sunday and both were Neg.  Then come wednesday when I was still feeling awful I took another and the line was faint but it was there.  Then I took a digital and it took abit but then said yes.

Sp, it could be that you HCg levels are very low and it's not showing up yet.

My first one was wrong, I took another one a week and a half later and it was positive. Make sure you take it first thing in the morning your hormones in your urine are higher.

yeh cost a fortune. i used bout 30-40 £1 tests then rest were tescos own. for some reason my body seems 2 give out negative results. it was annoying me cos my docs wouldnt do a bloodtest. but both times i was preg! andnow have 2 beautiful children. its best 2 get a bloodtest from ur docs.and if not they probs get u 2 have them every week otherwise it could be something else try not 2 stress.

I agree, a blood test is the way to go.  When we had first started trying and when I had missed my period, I took a pregnancy test, but it came out negative.  I'm an x ray tech and I got called in that night.  I went to the lab and told one of my friends about it.  She drew my blood and sure enough, a faint line!  They are so sensitive.  I could have only been 11 days pregnant at the time!  I believe my friend said they can pick up hormones within 7 days.

yes the test can be wrong, u might not be that far enough to tell, but i no that a negative test is not always 100% right

Wow, Samantha! How much money did you spend on those pregnancy tests? Muct have cost a fortune.

When was your last period? Has it been over 4 weeks since? If yes, then go to the GP and get them to do a Urine pregnancy test. If No, then you need to wait a while longer.

Have you eaten something that could have upset your stomach?

There are also 'chemical pregnancies' which make your body feel as though you are pregnant. These can happen weeks and even months after a new baby.

My advice is to try and not stress and get yourself some rest, as the sickness could be due to something else. And if it isnt your going to need all the rest in the world!

Wait a week and do another test. The hormone levels would have risen sharply by then, if your are pregnant.

just cuz the stereotyped "morning sickness" ppl immediatly think they're preggas...pfft i never felt ill with my boy just craved chocolate!

just go to ur GP and get a blood test done...u mite just have gastro! :D

I found that both my children would not give me a positive test until I was over 5 weeks along. Multiple false tests with the first especially.

As far as home tests go, I found some brands are crap and others alot more accurate. But, nothing can be as accurate as a Doctor! Wait until your period is due (if it isn't already) and either do another home test, or book in to the doctor for around that time and have them do a test.

It may be an idea to see the doctor regardless of the outcome, as there may be something else causing your symptoms.

Hi Crystal, from experience i can definitely tell you tat depending on your hormones and the type of preganancy test you are using, there could be some false reports. The best advice I can give you is to check with your ob-gyn. Good Luck.

yes i have already had a baby..but with him i didn't find out untill I was 2 months pregnant...but how every morning i would wake up and have morning sickness i would always puke up yellow stuff and i'm puking up the same stuff now..I'm calling my doctor in the morning to see if i can get a blood test done. I'm hoping its a no cuz my son is just turning 10 months and i'm not any where ready for a second child. not untill a year or so...

Try going to the doctor and getting a blood pregnanct test. I find that those are indisputable compared to peeing on a stick

a home test should be done with your fist morning pee! if that doesnt work then i would go to the doc or health unit and ask for a blood test to be done!

yes it definately could be wrong. ive got 2 babies and with my 1st i had over 50 negatives til i was 8 weeks late and got a positive. with my second i had over 100 negatives but when i was 6 weeks late got a positive and my docs wouldnt do a bloodtest either times.

Of course it could be wrong - or there could just be another explanation for your symptoms (I know when I'm sick, it's always worst in the morning)...but I would go to the doctor just to make sure.

You should definitely head to the Dr or Health Dept and get a bloodtest done...it would be more accurate than a home pregnancy test in detecting...because home tests can be decieving until your hormones are at a certain "height" for the test to detect.
