my 16month old son always seems to sweat like crazy when he sleeps, naps and for the night. sometimes he'll wake up during the night b/c he is sweating so bad, he head is wet and his little cheeks are so red. i was wondering if anybody else's child does this or is it something that i need to check have checked by his doctor.

That used to happen to my niece and nephew. They would get so warm when I held them until they fell asleep, when they woke up or I put them in the crib, I noticed how soaked their heads and sometimes the sides of their faces were. That also happened when they would rest on the bed while watching a video. I noticed wet spots from their heads when they got up! ^_^ I think it's normal; just as Aura said, their body temps are probably just higher than what you'd expect. If it becomes a problem though and he just cannot sleep anymore, I might ask the doctor about it.

My daughter is 10 months old. She has been doing this since she was born. I get to the point where I have to strip her down to her diaper to sleep. Maybe he just has a naturally higher body temperature?
