With my first I took the test when my husbad (BF at the time) was at work. He came home for his lunch and I just told him. We were 18 and both scared to tell our parents so we didnt until I was 7 months along (don't ask how I hide it because I have no idea) and than we just handed them the U/S pics.. With my second. My husband is in the military and was on leave when I got pregnant so when I found out he was gone :-( so I had to tell him on the phone but I couldnt wait to tell my mom so when I saw her I just yelled im pregnant!

I told everyone in different ways. My best friend had been telling me that all she wanted for christmas was for me to have a baby, so right around thanksgiving I went and told her well you got your wish. Then to tell my mom I went over to her house and while she was getting ready for work I went in and said "want to hear a funny story?" she said sure but once I started she just ignored it and kept getting ready. I told her that my best friend said that all she wanted for christmas was for me to have a baby and she got her wish. She just laughed and was like okay. She walked out the door to go to work and 3 minutes later came back in crying and said what did you say I looked at her and told her that she should have listened the first time. By then she caught on. She has never been happier to be a grandma

Gosh I really wish I had done something more fun when I announced my pregnancy! I took the pregnancy test while my husband was at work. When it came back positive, I was in total shock & I couldn't wait for my husband to get home! When he got home, I basically told him to sit down and then I handed him the pregnancy test. He was so excited! I was a little worried about telling my parents because they kept hinting that we weren't financially ready for a baby. So, I just sat them down the next day and told them. Boring huh? For the next baby I plan on doing something waaaay more exciting lol.

What i did was the first time i gave my pregnancy test to my husband and walked into my room bc i didnt wnat him to see my crying. We ended up telling the family on christmas eve. My second pregnancy we just got back from vacation from visiting the family and i kept getting sick and i thought it was the weather change. well when we came home the next day i took the test and took a pic of it and sent it to my husband when he was at work. and we told the family via text messages and calling them since we moved 1,000 miles away due to my husband being in the airforce. I was also told a cute way to tell the family is somehow make a shirt for your little one saying i am going to be a big brother/sister and send that picture to all the family members. that would be a cute way too. you could just get a white t shirt and some paint and make a cute shirt. that would be a neat way too.

With my 1st I had just turned 18 and wasn't married. Comin from a strict baptist background I was terrified of what my family would think, not to mention my 20 yr old boyfriend, and how I was gunna go from stupid rebelious teenager to mom. I was only one day late and had taken b/c religiously but for some reason just took an old test i had under the counter hopped in the shower and forgot about it till i went back in to pee again about a half hr later. I flipped out, started crying, shaking, etc. I didn't even do my make up or hair or anything just hopped in my car and drove to my bf's work and called him and told him to come out in the parking lot. I showed him the test cuz I couldn't get the words "i'm pregnant" to come out of my mouth. He was actually happy. I told my parents a few mo later and they weren't as happy but not as upset as i expected. Everything worked out though we have now been married 4 yrs next mo and are on baby #3. W baby # 2 my hubby was there when i took the test and we looked at it together then I wrote a poem for my family and gave it to them in a frame at my sons 1st bday party. Baby #3 was a BIG surprise and so I wrote on a pc of paper "i'm pregnant again" and cut it up into a puzzle and gave the pieces to my husband. To tell the family we made shirts for our son and daughter sayin "I'm the big brother again" and "I'm the big sister".

i was going to do this but my husband was way too excited and could help but tell people straight away, but i think its a cute and fun idea to get your 1st born a shirt saying "im going to be a big sister" and put it on them when you visit family and/or friends!

For our 2nd we put our 2 1/2 year old son on the phone and told him to say we were having a baby... at first they didn't understand him but then when he was clear enough to say "Mommy and Baby" all we heard was screaming in excitement! It was even funnier because he told them he was having a sister... and behold we are having a girl! It was so cute!!

Later that day we had went over to his moms and she offered me a wine cooler and i told her i couldnt and she got all excited and just knew i guess. mothers intuition. my mom and dad, i left a message on their answering machines telling them they were going to be grandparents. i thought they were going to be mad but they were excited.

I went to Walmart and bought a bib that said "I Love Daddy" and put it in a box with the two pregnancy tests I had taken, waited for my fiance to get home from work and gave him the box. That was the best expression I've ever seen on his face!!
As for his parents, we just called and told them "You're gonna be a grandpa/grandma" and with mine I just blurted out, "I'm Pregnant!"

I had a feeling at work that I was pregnant, so I took a test in my lunch break, pretty much expecting for it to come back negative as we had been trying for over a year. But it was positive and I couldn't wait to get home and tell him, so I rang my husband from a public toilet in a shopping centre, Eww, I didn't care where I was, I was just so excited!

To tell my sister in law and best friends I sent them a photo text message of my positive pregnancy test, no words, just the picture.

Oh sorry and to actually answer, we took my parents out for supper and i just laid the test on the table. Might seem gross but we were trying for 1yr to have our first. With our second i called my mom crying asking if she would disown me lol. I didn't want to be pregnant again because my first was horrible and i was terrified it would be that way again. I'm glad it wasn't and i wouldn't change a thing:)

That is such a cute idea! I have heard of people putting the ultrasound pic in a card but it depends if you can keep it a secret that long or if they do an U/S early enough lol.
