Well I have to children and Joshua is my son there is no story behind picking out his name, he is named after his daddy. Joshua Alonzo ( 2yrs)

My little girl has a story though.. I loved the name Ashley. It was one of them names that you used every time you played baby dolls when you were little!! So we were going to go with that until my husband, Josh, wanted to go with Marie as a middle name. Well I couldnt see having his grand mother name and not using my grand mothers name. So we were ging to go with Ashley Ann-Marie... Well then we found out that we would not be able to have anymore children then got to thinking, both of our mothers had the same middle name Lynn. So we came up with Ashlynn Ann-Marie. That takes care of everyone name!!
Long story but something to tell her about when she get older!

I am a new mom to my first son. His name is Bryson Xavier Michael. I had a big list of names I wanted to name him and one of them was Bryce. His dad wanted his name to be Xavier but i couldn't see myself calling my son Xavier so i agreed that it would be one of his middle names. After he was born we were just sitting there looking and him and his dad said "Bryson Xavier Michael. "(michael is his dad's middle name and iw anted to make sure that was in there too. His dad thought since it was a boy he should be able to name him so that why he changed it from Bryce to Bryson

Well I always liked the name Zoe for a little girl, but my friend named her daughter Zoe so we decided to go with something different. I was reading a Nichloas Sparks book and the main character's name was Savannah and I really liked that. The name stuck and my husband really liked it too so we named her Savannah. Her middle , Kelly, comes from her godmother and my best friend. I was hoping to get a boy because we found out we were pregnant after my brother passed away, but when we get our son his middle name will be Javier after my brother.

My daughter's name is Elayna Rowan. My husband's name is Bayly so I zeroed in on Irish-welsh origin for the names. Then I had to pick a nick name that fit so we call her Laney. Now I have another girl on the way in May. We picked Makayla Rhiannon. Also I am a huge Stevie Nicks fan...LOL. We are going to call this one Kylie.

We named our daughter Harriett Regan. We chose Harriett because my husband and I were close to his grandmother who passed away and that was her name. We chose Regan because it was a name that we both liked !

I have three kids a girl and two boys. My daughters name I picked out its Alexandria  Brook but we call her Lexy for short. Her first name I picked out and the Middle my husband found the only think I did to the middle name is take the E off of Brook. My first boy is named after his daddy and pop so hes James Daniel Edgin III so  I was so tired of James so we call him Trey cause he is the III. My last son was a big deal for me His name is Lucas Harlan Lucas is the only name my husband liked out of thousands of names and Harlan was my granfathers middle name he passed away two years before I had Lucas and he and my grandmother raised me so I named my last son after him.

Sadly, for us, it was just the names we could both agree on. Unfortunately my partner and i have very different tastes, in many areas, and when it came down to it, we just had to settle on the ones we could both agree on. Our kids are Daron and Miley.

Morgan was somewhat named after the lead singer in the band Kittie. We love listening to hard rock. We could not agree on a name for the life of us, and we were listening to the song Spit by Kittie when I blurted out "What about Morgan?" He loved it. Her middle name, Elizabeth, just seemed to slide in there. Morgan Elizabeth Miller.

I didnt so much choose the name.. he has a daughter that he still was never able to meet and the mother never told him about her until she was a year and a half and asking for child support. :(  ~~he might be getting to see her when he goes to court this march to try to get it modified :) ~~  ANYWAYS so he had obviously NOTHING to do with the name choosing of her.. and he really hates that. so i said that he can pick out a name.. as long as i agree.. so our sons name is Theron Anthony.. i picked the middle name out.. he has to have SOMETHING italian in there. he got Theron from a friend he went to elementry school with and always loved the name.

most people see it and pronounce it wrong so if you are wondering its Theron.. just like how you say Sheron.. but with a TH instead :)

When I had my 2 year's ultra sound we were told that we were having a boy...so we were looking at boys name's.....we then found out later on on the pregnancy that we were having a GIRL....so we had everyone in our family..I mean EVERYONE calling us with udeas...my sister-in-law actually called with the name Lyla, and since there was a popular song out called Lyla (by Oasis), my husband was sold!!! So her name is Lyla Elizabeth (Elizabeth after both of my Grandmothers)

Then we just had B/G Twins, we named my son after My Husband - Justin Brian (we call him JJ), and my daughter...I always wanted the name Presley for a baby girl, and since my name is Leigh...we made her name Presleigh Irene (Irene after my Husbands Grandmother), so we incorporated both if our names with the twins!

Wanted to be a bit unique with the girls names anyway!

Well my 20 month old son was named after one of my favorate names in the Bible "Joshua" and after my lil brother that was killed "Anthony". Hes was a good brother so it ment alot for me to name my son after him. My 8 month old lil girl is named after her great grandma (my grandma). My maternal grandma's last name was Mckenzie and I just loved that for a fisrt name and both of my grandma's shared the same middle name of "Mae". Funny thing is my mother in laws middle name is May also but spelt different.

My first and only son i named Samuel because to me it sounds strong and Samuel was a prophet in the bible who God spoke to while he was sleeping. Samuel was dedicated to God to serve him. I just love the sound of that name and I know that he was meant to have that name....especially with his circumstances of him being born premeturely. Jesus spared his life.

Since we met my Husband and I love the name Logan for a boy! However by the time we were expecting we knew 6 different kids named Logan. So we flipped through the baby name book and found Terrance. We both agreed on it and neither of us knew anyone from our past we hated name Terrance.

Should I ever have a girl her name will be Cassidy Lee. My Mother is Cindy Lee, I am Chelsea Lee. That way even when she marries and takes a different last name she would still share the first initials of her Grandmother and Mom.

I decided that if I was pregnant with a boy, I was going to name him Malachi (God's Messenger and also his dad's name is Melvin so got the whole "M" thing going on) Curtis (His father's middle name). But I found out I was having a girl. My husband wanted to name her Diamond from "Player's Club". Of course I was not having that. I was writing on a tablet one day just writing names. I remember that I went to school with a girl named Zykia but I didn't want that to be her name so I named her Zykira. I have always liked Imani (Faith) so her name became Zykira Imani. Well, I got pregnant again. I knew that I wanted the new baby's name to go with my daughter's name. If I was having another girl, her name was going to be Zabre' I'Driahna. Well, I found out I was having a boy. It was hard coming up with a "Z" name that I liked. I found one name but the meaning of it meant, "Song Bird". That sounded to feminine for me. I am a strong believer of looking up the meanings. People gave me suggestions but I just didn't like any of them. One day, my older sister-in-law suggested Zhamel for his first name b/c his father's name, her brother, is Melvin. This way, he will be named after his father w/o having the exact same name. I did know that I didn't want my kids to be named after my husband or me b/c we are both named after our parents. It has to stop somewhere. LOL... My daughter's middle name is Imani so I had to figure out something that goes with that. I thought of I'mon and Imari but I really didn't like the flow so I came up with Imarion. His name is Zhamel Imarion. Kinda lengthy but that's where Zykira Imani and Zhamel Imarion got their names! :-) Hope this helps you and that you have enjoyed my story.

My son is Camden Blake(2.5 yrs old) and my daughter is Brenna Carys(almost 7months old).

When my husband and I had been dating for awhile, we talked about names. He liked Cameron for a boy and I really didn't. When we got pregnant a few years later, he mentioned it again and I suggested Camden instead. We are Orioles fans too, but that's not why we named him that! We couldn't decide on a middle name and one evening, he was reading Sports Illustrated and I was reading a baby name book when he suggested the name Blake after reading an article on the tennis player, James Blake. He's not named after him though. I like both names because they are different without being weird. Although Camden is becoming more popular.

I'd always liked the name Brianna and that was our girls' name when I was pregnant with my son. When I got pregnant with my daughter, I didn't really like that name so much anymore. I love girls' names that end with A. I like Brenna because it's uncommon and simple. I love Catherine Zeta-Jones and her daughter is named Carys, so that's where that one came from. My husband worked with a girl named Carys, but it was spelled differently, and he always liked that name. I couldn't remember him working with a Carys before but...

So that is how my children got their names!

I kept thinking of names and making a list. When my husband would get home from work he would look at it and it was always NO NO NO NO. We agreed on Kai from the get go but our last name is Way. So Kai Way just didn't sound right. Finally, months down the road I thought of the name Dominic. And my husband loved it. So we now have our amazing son, Dominic Kai Way.

Anthony was kinda of a joke between my father in law and myself, both being fans of nascar he wanted me to name him Jeff as in Jeff Gordon well not the biggest Gordon fan he dislikes Tony stewart and it stuck Anthony. My husband and I both have fairly common names and didn't want to give our child a common name. Immediately we decided on the name Vedder (After Edie Vedder from Pearl Jam) for a boy, but we couldn't agree on a girls name. I have always said that I would name my daughter Guinevere but I happened to marry a man with the last name Lariviere and the two names just don't go together. Not even a month before our daughter was born we we're watching Scrubs and I said Jordan isn't bad for a girl...that was it.

His middle name is Manuel, after my dad who passed away shortly after I got pregnant. I didn't find out until I was 34 weeks pregnant that I was having a girl. But all along in my heart I knew it. and never settled on a boys name.
