I dont know if its just the hormones, but I feel more morbid/depressed than usual and I feel that way more easily too. Any advice?

please talk to your doctor you shouldn't feel that way. Don't feel bad it is very normal but you can start to get treated now with medication and therapy. Good luck.

Depression happens in two major reasons:

1. Hormones- the sudden drop of hormones after the baby has gone out makes us feel overwhelmed or depressed at no apparent reason. It will subside in due time in about 2 months.

2. Environment- lack of support from partner or family, being so pre-occupied of baby-sitting, not knowing what to do..boredom of staying at home and other unwelcome situations will naturally make you feel stressed, sad and overwhelmed. so here's what you can do:

1. Delegate tasks: ASK the help of immediate family members and your partner in some stuff like cooking dinner, cleaning or running to the grocery..if you have no family to turn in to: hire a part-time help until you recover.

2. Always look at your baby when she/he's sleeping... I does magic in calming you.. and sleep while the baby sleeps. when he wakes up, you can't sleep anymore.

3. Make sure that you have your partner's emotional support. Do not hesitate to cry in front of him is that will make you feel better. You are a family, have faith that he loves you. I don't know what's your current relationship with the child's father. But in case that he is not available, go to someone who does understand and love you (parent, sister or girlfriend)

4. If you still depressed after 2-3 months go to the doctor.
