when my son had it i looked it up on a medical website & it suggested using baby or mineral oil & a soft brush. it instructed to allow the oil to soak on the affected area & then to gentley scrub the area with the soft brush. i let it sit for 20mins when it was really bad but i wouldn't let it sit less than 10mins. they also have the medicated shampoos you can buy at toys-r-us or other dept. stores but they are more costly

Both my girls had it. My eldest now 2 and half only stopped having it a few months ago when I stopped using the craddle cap shampoo that I was told to use, I also used it on my 9 month old and it just got worse I have recently stopped using that and have started using normal baby shampoo and giving it a good rub over the affected area and it is going very fast :)

To deal with my daughter's cradle cap, I used pure olive oil. I let it sit on her hair for about five minutes and then started to gently loosen up the cradle cap by rubbing it with my fingertips. Once I got as much as i could I washed it out really good. It took around three olive oil treatments for it to be completely gone, but in the end it was free of cradle cap and the olive oil made her hair softer.
I do the same but instead of olive oil I use baby oil and it works like a charm

I went to the doctors and he gave me a lotion to put on her head 2 times a day. I also put baby oil in her bath. As soon as I started usuing the lotion it was pretty much gone a few days later.

My 7yr old has had excema issues since he was a baby, they have given me every cream on the planet and nothing works better than an oatmeal bath twice a week. In the winter it gets the worse and i limit his baths to three times a week and wipe him down the other days and then cream him up with the Vaseline intensive care lotion before bed.

baby oil and a baby comb for cradle cap. Obvously the oil to soften the skin and a comb to brush the skin out of their hair. As far as excema and skin issues steroid cream works brilliantly it takes the itchiness and redness of it away, you'll have to see a dr. about it tho.

My advice to you it is that you can try to put your babay in the baby tub and add to the watter some warm water and add wheat oats ( like the one taht you by in the super market loke quaker) you just have grave some with your hand and then you pass in the area that it is irritated and after 10 min you take out ur babay out of the water in you are goint to shee that this will help ion is like you meke him a bath on oaks

To get rid if cradle cap, just scrub the area well with johnson's baby shampoo then rinse throughoughly, then take a comb and go back and fourth until the little flakeys come out. i delt with it for about a month on my daughter. just gotta give them a bath every day until it clears up. my mom said to put lotion on my daughter's head too..but she has a headful of hair, so the lotion only made it worse. just depends on the baby. good luck.

I have found that limiting my childrens bath to less than 5 minutes and using Aveeno Sooting Relief Mositure Cream (the cream bottle with blue lettering) works great!! I buy the lotion in bulk when its on sale. If the breakout gets really bad, I use pure cocoa butter or Eucerin. Try to lotion them up in the mornings and evenings to keep moisture in their skin.

What I did and still do for my 3 month old, I put baby oil in my babies hair after I wash it and that keeps the cradle cap away.
