How do you manage to drag in grocery bags and a baby or toddler in an apartment building?

We live up 3 flights of stairs, with no elevator. I also do not have a garage, I park my car underneath the train tracks in an alley. Can anyone enlighten me as to their tips and tricks for how to get the grocery shopping inside after going to somewhere like Costco that has larger-size packages, or just bring stuff up the stairs in general? I can leave non-perishables in the car, but just was wondering how I can do this better. Do any of you use those little carts, or cloth bags, or something else? Let me know what works!

Find a huge duffle bag at tjmaxx or someplace similar (they are super expensive anywhere else), the kind with wheels on the bottom and a handle so you can pull it and some bunge cords. What you can't fit inside you can bunge cord to the bag.

You kinda look like a homeless person as you drag it along, but it works and has the added convenace of only needing one hand.

The mom hook is great! It's an oversized caribeaner hook.

my input will most likely not be helpful because i live in a tiny village of a little under 800,but ill post anyways. I get my son up the stairs along with my purse and what i can safely carry (maybe a couple cloth shopping bags or a gallon of milk). i get him inside and situated(this usually includes a diaper change and cup, but quite often i make sure to be home right at nap time so he can get down for his nap and then its even easier). i only live up one flight of stairs and i dont have to lock my doors while carrying up because i am right there.

I live on the 3rd floor of my apartment building also..... I get as much as i can and let Elijah walk up the stairs in front of me... lock him in the house and then get the rest of the groceries. It's a good workout though. lol

I've got a large duffel bag that all the smaller bags go in, and I just sling it across my shoulders to hike up the stairs.
Usually, though, I try to time it so someone is home (hubby or teenage son) to help haul when I get home. I just call when I get to the parking lot of our complex. :)

We have Mommy Hooks for the smaller bags. My husband is able to load up all of our bags on to one hook. At our last place our parking spot was a ways from our apartment, so I would take my daughter inside and occupy her with some toys in her high chair. Then I'd run back to the car and bring the groceries in.

Kids up first. Put them somewhere safe. Like their cribs. Lock the door and bring up. The grocerys in the large costco bag. i had the same problem. Except only one kid. I also learned to do shopping more often that way i had less of a load. I would walk to my costco or no frills and only buy what would fit in the stroller.

When I had a third floor walk up I used a hiking style backpack that I picked up fairly cheap at a salvation army for that purpose.
