We have a parenting plan that forces me to send them with him and his equally abusive wife. I have tried getting his visitation reduced but the judge will not go for it. My children see a professional counselor and even she agrees he is emotionally abusive, My children and 11 and 7 and in MT they can't make the decision to not go with him until they are 14. I just feel like maybe there is something else I can do to help them. They are miserable every time they have to go on a visit.

talk with your kids about the things their father is saying to them. assure them that he is wrong and that they are wonderful. Praise them when they are with you and keep the communication open, let them know that they can tell you everything. Good luck. I am sorry you are in such a hard position

We can't change judges. Its not allowed now that we are this far into it. I have tried getting this to go to court so we can have the counselor testify but so far haven't been successful

can the childrens counselor go before the judge... I don't see how a judge could look over that! abuse is abuse wether it is physical or emotional and there is no reason why children should be put into that environment against their will even if they arent of age to make a decision. I think that the counselor and lawyer could get the prob fixed. if not, i'd try getting a different judge to hear the case.
