Your missed period is wrong I was the same way but my doctor had me to do an ultrasound and the blood test and they both said I was five weeks and my missed period said I was 2 1/2 months .

go back 3 months and add 1 week is what I heard... so around Sept 2nd/3rd..

Go to a doctor and get a blood test. Hormone levels increase as the pregnancy progresses - that's how the doctor says "your due date is X".

Your GP won't see you til 12wks, that's not right. I dunno what country you're living in but I have been pregnant 4 times and my GP saw me each time within days of my getting a positive test. It's usually the GP who tell you how far you are and if you don't know when your last period is, they usually send you for a dating scan but depends on where you live I guess.

If your last period started on Nov 26, you conceived about the 10th of Dec. You're due late Aug/early Sep. Assuming you go to a hospital, they'll do a dating ultrasound but these can be several weeks off as well.

There are home pregnancy tests you can take at home that can tell you approximately how far along you are. I think one of them is Clear Blue Digital.

i have a 2 year old and he is my only healthy living child he is my 9th after all my miscarriages stillborns and blue babies because i was very nervous about losing him due to previous history i made that known to my doctor so they saw me kick up a fuss to see your doctor i know plenty of friends who have had one or 2 miscarriages before a healthy pregnancy and by saying they had concerns their doctors saw them dont take no for an answer after all its yours and your unborn babys health and your piece of mind xxx

Were you only sexually active on the 8th? If so then you had to conceive within 5 days as sperm doesn't usually live longer then that. If that were the case you would be due some where between August 31st and September 5th.

Ur dates are similar to my last pregnancy. I kno I had sex on dec tenth and became pregnant then. My last period had been around thansgiving and my daughter was born september 4th. Using ur last period is standard procedure because ovulation is normally about 2 weeks later on average. Ur first test does not always say if ur pregnant but if ur doctor doesn't see u go to another 1. Explain ur concern with miscarriages.

Im in Australia and the doctors here go on the first day of your last period and then go forward 40 weeks and that is your due date. I have asked the doctor and said i didn't have sex until one week after i had finished bleeding and they said it doesn't matter. So here they would go from the 26th of November to now and say you are 8 weeks pregnant so many weeks pregnant. I am pregnant with my third and i didnt get a positive result for 5 weeks even though i thought i was pregnant and i got a positive on the first day of my missed period with my other two children. So i guess the only way to know is to get an ultrasound and find out for sure. The earlier an ultrasound is done the better as it is more accurate at determining the due date. Also try the clear blue digital test that gives a reading of how far along you are. Good luck.

The dates wont add up. They back track to the first day of your last period. Technically your pregnant before you even had sex.

Everyone's hormone levels are different so it is possible that you conceived on December 8th. I've seen it happen.



However it is more likely that you conceived sometime between December 23rd & 28th.



It's still early enough that if you get an ultrasound they will be able to determine the conception date within a couple of days.



And I would recommend the ultrasound too. Otherwise they will assume you conceived December 10th, and when your "due date" rolls around and they insist on inducing you, your baby will actually be 2 weeks early.



ETA- I see your post about your doctor won't see you until 12 weeks... In that case it would be better to think that you conceived at the earliest possible date.



Going off your period it looks like you are 8wks6days. Going off the pregnancy tests it looks like you are 6wks.



If all else fails go to the ER and tell them you have a history of miscarriages and you are having cramps. Dishonest but if it gets the doctor serious about seeing you it's worth it.

i dont know if u r in the uk or the usa but here in the uk we have a pregnancy test called clear blue digital its a traditional pee on the stick test from pharmacy etc but has a digital reading theat tells you how far along you are

I have a friend who figured out each of her due dates by subtracting three months from the first day of her last period, and then adding 7 days. It worked for me too! I would call your doctor and really push to get in before 12 weeks. Request that they do an ultrasound. I have another friend who lost 2 babies before 12 weeks and now whenever she gets pregnant her doctor has her come in for an ultrasound at 6 weeks just to make sure everything is ok (she has 8 kids and is now pregnant with #9). Unless your insurance won't pay for you to go before 12 weeks, I don't see why your doctor would have a problem with it, just to give you some peace of mind. Good luck and congrats!

Oh I am so sorry to hear that!!! :( I hope everything works out this time for you! I dont know where you live, but I know you can go into a planned parenthood and they do a urine test to see how far along you are. They say it is not as accurate as the blood test but when I did it, they came up with the same date my doctor did!!

my doctor wont see me until im at 12 weeks. and she is going by my missed period which is invalid. i was thinking about 6 weeks sounds right. the reason im so worried is because in october i had a miscarriage at 8 weeks 2 days thinking i was 12 weeks along. i wish they could bring me in to make sure everthing is going okay because i went a whole month not knowing i lost my baby

Im thinking like mid september. But to know for sure call your doctor and make an appointment!! Being on medicine affects how effective your birth control is (assuming you were on it!) Good luck!! :)
