How far along in everyones pregnancy did stretch marks start to show up? I am 20 weeks and just starting to show but so far, no marks. I'm dreading it but I know they'll be coming soon enough.

They might not come at all! I got 2 marks within the last week of my pregnancy and my son was 8ibs 1oz! Just make sure you """"NEVER"""" scratch your belly. If the sensation to do so is unbearably strong get the lotion out and rub it in firmly, that should make it so much better. I used palmers with cocoa butter for stretch marks multiple times a day and it definitely worked! Good luck!

I am 25 weeks, no stretch marks yet. The only think I can say is when I went through puberty I had some light stretch marks on my breasts, so from that I am thinking my skins elasticity is probably 'medium' and I expect 'moderate' stretch marks. I don't know if anyone else can say this comparison is useful or not.

I did not get any stretch marks until after I had my son. Then it was only on flesh colored stretch marks on my chest. I used Palmers Cocoa butter every day on my stomach and thighs but never thought about my chest. :)

I never got any (on my stomach, anyway) with my first. I got them on my thighs :\ I did get a large one right under my belly button with my second, but it didn't show up until the beginning of my third trimester.

My 4-year-old son weighed 9lbs., 2oz. when he was born, but I was lucky enough to not get any stretch marks with him. My b/g twins were born this Sept., and I got one stretch mark on the front of both of my hips, which showed up when I was around 7½-8 months along.

Everyone's different. Some women get stretch marks and some don't, and some get them earlier than others. The women I've known to get stretch marks during their pregnancies got them during the last of their 2nd trimester through to their 3rd.

Make sure you keep hydrated and start using coco butter on your stomach and hips. I used one of those huge bottles of Queen Helene coco butter a month throughout my pregnancies. It's great to help prevent them, and helps diminish their appearance.
