How has your body changed from having a baby? How does your tummy look now?

I was really, really skinny before having my baby. So now I have stretch marks on my belly, love handles and thighs. I still haven't embraced my new body...but I'm working on it. I workout mostly every day and the weight is slowly coming off. It takes time though, everybody wants the quick fix but that's just not how it works. But I think that most important thing of all is that I have a happy, healthy girl to look at every day...and I wouldn't change that for the world!

My body doesn't really seem to have changed a whole heck of a lot. I have a few stretch marks on my sides. My stomach isn't a stomach that you would expect from someone with an 11 month old baby, it looks like it did before I got pregnant, not flat, but not real flabby or anything. My boobs are the thing that changed the most. They are way smaller and flatter than they used to be. Other than the boob situation, I like my body.

well i have 3 boys under 5 so in 5 years i have gone from being 47kgs to 65. stretch marks got infected and irritated with 2nd son and he came out with excema. was really hard to enjoy my body but i realised that being a mum / parent is about sacrafice so i sacraficed my hot body for 3 cool kids and there is cool monokinis and tankinis out there so dont worry about the bikin thing...

Before I got pregnant I was very tiny, and by the end of my pregnancy I had gained 60Lbs!!!! Over time I have lost it, my daughter is now nine months old. But it really does take some getting used to. I still have that weird line down my stomach. The only area I HATE is my lower stomach i just can't seem to get it tightened back up. I got a ton of strech marks on my inner thighs.. but none on my belly. Weird huh?? lol. They are slowly fading. but not fast enough. lol.

Before I got pregnat at 17, my stomach was of course tight and toned. Now that I am 23 and a mother of 2 my stomach is ruined. I have stretch marks so bad it looks like freddie krueger attacked me. I have them on my stomach, breasts, legs..even the backs of my knees. I had c sections with both daughters so I also have that lovely flap of skin that they don't tell you 95% of women get. I am not ashamed of my stomach, I earned every mark. I don't parade around in small t shirts anymore but I don't let it stop me from bikinis in the summer either because they are so light. It doesn't seem to effect my single life one bit like I thought that it would after my divorce. So I'm not complaining..

I have extra skin and stretch marks to make my tummy look like a road map. My boobs are two cups larger and I lost my butt :(



I was 125lbs before I was pregnant and I gained more than 50 lbs during. I have less than 10 lbs to loose but it feels like so much more.



Sometimes it is frustrating but only for a minute or two when I am trying to find something to were out...Most times I just have to look at my beautiful little girl and remember that I couldn't have her without it. It totally makes it worth it :)



It helps my Dh tries his best to make me feel great about it all too. My dad even tells me the best thing about a women is when she is a mother she wears those scars (the baby bump) and he thinks its the most womanly think to have...But I remember him telling my mom that all the time :)

With my first baby I had stretch marks on my sides. And with my second baby I know have them on the front of my belly (small ones but noticeable). My tummy is getting smaller but not fast enough for me.. So I have just come to terms with my body.. My husband still loves me and finds me attractive. So thats how I embrace is being real with myself..

well i was young when i had my first boy i was 16 when pregnant and just ternd 17 when i had him so my stomach streched realy bad and i couldnt handl my body lost all my waight then met my fella that im with now and fell preg again and startin to get deppressed about my waight and body again. x

I am struggling to get used to this new body. I went from a size 3 to a size 5. A 34 D to a 36DD. Perky boobs to not so perky boobs. I have stretch marks on my sides which dont bother me so much as my love handles. The worst part for me is the boobs. I cant fit into some tops because there too big. I have to wear a large or medium now just because of that. My tummy is still pretty flat im glad. Oh and I went from 117 lbs to 129.

i gained 55 lbs with my pregnancy, and luckily never got a single strechmark, luckily, i had my baby girl 12 days ago and so far i have lost half my baby weight, my belly is almost back to the way it was before but there is a bit more softness, but my legs and butt did get bigger, i cant quite fit into my pre pregnancy jeans yet, hopefully soon, because summer is around the corner and i want to bring my little girl to the beach and feel good in my old bathing suit.

well mine has changed after two children. I got some stretch marks after the first baby but with the one i just had i got none. Was kinda like jelly lookin at first but its now firmer and i am back to my original weight and i had her only 4 weeks ago. So I guess you could say all pregnancies are different so it all depends on your body!

Honestly I have three children and it did not affect my tummy at all! I was truley blessed! I did however have a cesarean with my 3rd so I do have that scar below my panty line~~ I love it and feel as though that was the mark the Lord wanted me to have from my births :) I love my angels and wish u the best luck with embracing your new markings that come along with baring your new angel :)

I am a single mother of 2 beautiful boys ages 20 mo and 6 mo. I am having a hard time losing the weight that I gained and I absolutely HATE my body with a passion. Sometimes I get so down about it that I cry. I have a huge ugly pooch with stretch marks all over it. I feel completely unattractive.



But reading what all of you have had to say has made me realize that these are battle scars to the most beautiful wonderful things that we could have ever done in our lives. We created out kids and they are a God given gift. I am going to continue to wage war onmy post baby body to make it what I want it to be. It may take a while but damnit! I amgoing to do it!! Hang in there moms and again THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing your thoughts and words.

I have a very awful stomach stretch marks all over and alot of excess skin but i am trying to work on it and hopefully get a tummy tuck but we all know those are so expensive and i probably wont get one but yoga is a good excercise to get the stretch skin back to normal.

honestly the only thing that has changed from pre kids to now is my boobs are smaller. With each child i lost a cup size :( . But everything else went back the same. No stretch marks or anything

since i had my daughter (almost 2 years old) my breasts are a bit saggier, my stumch is pritty much the same as it was but it's a bit bigger and now it is lopsided...

i have the 2 roll belly and the top sticks out at one angle and the bottom at another....



my bf loves me and my body, i just have a moto " DON'T LIKE IT DON'T LOOK!!!"

i am getting more comfortable with my body, and thinking when we are done having kids that i want my breasts lifted and the extra skin removed....

I've been thinking about my earlier post and read a few other responces, and I know we all go through these body issues post pregnancy, I did for quite a while. But I think we need to allow it to motivate us to find ways to get active, any activity is good activity whether you are laying on the floor bouncing your baby on your legs or out running. The thing is to stop identifying yourself as what you used to be, and embrace who you are now. You are a mom, this is quite possibly the most important thing you will ever do in your whole life. We are responsible not only for another life but for making sure our children have the best, most loving environment that we can give them to grow in. It's not about us anymore, it's about them. So get out and get active, but don't do it to fit in a size two again, do it to be the healthiest best version of yourself you can be because it will make you a better mom. And you may or maynot get back down to that two, but it just might not matter as much as you get older and more comfortable with your new role as the most integral part of your family. I hope I don't sound preechy, I have gone through the same feelings you all are talking about, but I also just turned 30 and I notice a big shift, I am a very driven person, but my children come first always. Some days you just can't do what you want, other days I am able to plop my two year old in a three wheeler and run, if my eleven year old is home she can run with us. You just need to find what works in your life, and make it happen. And maybe learn to be content at six instead of two for now :)

I had twin girls 14 months ago. I was pretty much all baby weight while I was pregnant. After having my girls, I dropped all of the weight for a short period of time. But with having twins in the house and life being so hectic, I have gained weight and now weigh more than before I was pregnant. My stomach is flabby, and I have a lot of stretch marks on my stomach and thighs. I still have spider veins on my upper legs and behind my knees (which is why I dont really like to wear shorts). I am trying to loose the extra weight and at least get back down to my pre-baby weight, but so far its not working. My boobs also got bigger, and stayed bigger - they were already large enough before the twins, now they are bigger (not always fun when trying on shirts). I haven't really embraced my new body, I guess I have just gotten used to how it now looks, and changed some of the clothing choices I wore pre-baby to hide everything.

i managed to get bak to my 55kg pre-pregnancy weight within a year...but i have all the stretchmarks to show for it and wldnt dream of wearing a two-piece any day! to top it off i hd small boobs and now they are just sagging small boobs! i dnt like it but wel, i gues i better get used to it! :)

No stretch marks on my tummy or boobs. However, my boobs have lowered in cup size while my hips have widened. My tummy is the consistency of Jello (three weeks ago I had my second child). After my first child (he's 8 now), I lost the weight pretty quickly and didn't have any problems getting back to the way I was before pregnancy. With this one, I don't think I will have my pre-pregnancy body back. I just try to remain healthy by eating right and excersizing. Yoga really has helped along with Pilates.

Jill, I have a twin sister too and when I had my first daughter almost 6 years ago, she was childless and I was 40 pounds heavier than her and I felt soooo ugly. It's difficult since people tend to make more comparisons if the siblings are twins. She used to go to the beach and then visit me after that and I was like 'I wish I could wear a bikini again!!!'. Now she has two kids so she understands. I never got stretch marks and I'm thinner than before having my girls but there are certain things that'll never be the same :-(

I was am one of the lucky ones too! my son will be 4 months on the 20th and i am already 10lbs less then i was pre pregnancy. i only gained about 27 lbs during pregnancy though. my stomach isn't as tight as it used to be but i have so much respect for my body now that it doesn't bother me at all :)

I was fat before I got pregnant, so being fat now doesn't bother me. I have slowly fading stretch marks on my belly. I've always been big-hipped and broad-shouldered, even when thin, but I love, love, love how much more extreme the curve from my shoulder, waist, to hip. I feel much more sexy.

My body has changed, I gained about 85 pounds during my pregnancy with twins. I do have lots of stretchmarks all over my stomach and breasts. Though I worked out and am now smaller than I was before pregnancy, I still have extra skin on my stomach that will not go away. The only thing I am not happy with are my breasts, because I had twins I would pump about 8 ounces out of both breast every 2-3 hours and I did this for 7 months. They now are extremely stretched out and look like an 80 year old lady's would. But if I had to do it all over again, I would in a heartbeat :)

honestly i was a size 12 when i got pregnant for my family that was little i had a flat tummy wore bikins and loved my body! but then i got pregnant i gained 110lbs with my daughter i had a hard pregnancy i went on bedrest when i was only 4 months pregnant and now im still 40lbs heavier then what i was before pregancy and i cant seem to lose it i work out eat right and stay active. the doc said its harder for me to lose because i had a c-section but my daughter is 2 and i cant stand it any more!

oh boy... with my first child I went from 110 to 145, she was a big baby, and I ate so much. I was able to get down to 125 and I got pregnant again, went all the way up to 165!!! and well I had a huuuge baby, 10 pounds. He is almost three months and we're kind of stuck in 130... with out a diet or excersize routine... my belly looks like a flabby prune... the top part of my body I don'tmind, although I have some streech marks on my boobs... but wast down is a disaster, my but is just huge... I wat to get to my normal weight I've awys been small size 3, never had to watch my diet or do anything to havea good shape... now after two kids I don't know how i that going to happen... the joys of motherhood

Talking about my body after the second baby well i look great my tummy is better than it was before i even had my first child.really people say it to me all the time that i look great and i joke about the doc must of gave me a tummy tuck for there mess up while i was labouring for 4days in and out and told them something was very wrong turns out it was.My body now is from nothing more than stress after the birth and a bit of luck as i did nothing to get this way myself i was just being busy with my new baby girl and 4 year old.on my first i have to say i got a lovely pair of hips and some boobs after that pregnancy.i didnt complain but i did gain a bit of weight so glad this last preg got rid of the extra pounds.just got stretch marks on my boobs and inner thighs but thats the joy of pregancy and i have a scar on my body now from my second that i am not worried about but a wonderful reminder of her birth and how lucky she was.:-)

I told my Boyfriend if he didn't like what his baby did to my body he couldn't use it anymore lol. well i have stretch mark city and deep ones. plus the lose skin. i use to be so toned but know i having the hardest time. even when i due lose some of the waight the skin stay lose. let just say i'll never wear a binkni again. but my kids make all wrought it and just thankfull i am married to a man who loves me no matter what.

before i got pregnant, i didnt have nay stretch marks, my body was where i always wanted it. then after having my son, i got stretch marks on my belly and thighs,and u know, the "mommy pouch" extra in the middle. and on the sides.it kind of bothers me because i cant wear a two piece without wondering what others would say and think. but i plan on toning up before summer.

ugh! what a horrible question to ask!! haha, no but seriously, I've been wondering the same. And thank goodness this is ALL online and I don't know any of you personally!
I gained like almost 50 lbs with my first pregnancy...boy, do i wish i would have NOT and paid attention to what I was eating! I thought I was resilient enough to have a Hollywood body that it ALL goes back to normal...again, man was I wrong!
Us girls in my family have a "pooching belly" meaning it's ALWAYS there no matter how much we work out and watch what we eat, along with thunder thighs! I have lost some weight from the first pregnancy (thank goodness) but I could still lose another 20 lbs. I didn't get ANY stretch marks until the 8th month of pregnancy, (my mom has had 5 pregnancies and has HUGE stretch marks) and somehow I don't want to believe they're hereditary, but there's no evidence that shows otherwise...bummer, I know.
So now, aside from being overweight for my height and age, I have stretchmarks, and my boobs have sagged. If I would have known FOR SURE that my boobs would be saggy after breastfeeding, I WOULDN'T HAVE DONE IT. Sure, now they're bigger and fit in my bra better, but THEY SAGGGGGG!!! So, from being in my prime 20's with a tight body, my son has left me with a muffin top, stretch marks, extra poundage, and some saggy boobs. I know this is horrible to say, but I resent him & my husband for the change NOW that I know I will NEVER AGAIN look like I once did...but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make. =)

well.....i'm having a difficult time with my body. i do have stretch marks galore, however they are slowly disappearing in color but not the look of them. my stomach however has lots of extra skin. when i have on just my underwear i look ok, but when i sit down i have lots of belly fat that was never there before. i also have love handles. it really bothers me when i'm wearing a tighter shirt because its much more noticeable. i can wear all my pre-pregnancy clothes and pants but i do notice the baby belly still and i have no ambition to work out, not to mention try to fit time into my day after work to work out. i haven't embraces my new body yet and my son is 6months old. i'm slowly trying, but its very hard to do.

Oh gosh, well, I have stretch marks on it!! LOL I also have a bit of extra skin on it that use to make me very self consious of it. I would wear only baggie clothes. But now after three children, I am happy with my body. Would I like it gone?? Sure but hey, not gonna happen. LOL I have found clothes that help conseal it and not show it off and yet still make me feel good about myself and like a female. My fiance also has no problem with it cuz like he said...it came about for a reason...not just like I sat around and got fat for no reason. I have my days when I shopping or see something I really really like but wont work with my body but I see my children and wouldnt take it back for anything.

I was also on the smaller side before i got pregnant, i weighed 128lbs and by the time i went in labor i was 183lbs so i gained 55lbs. I got stretch marks the last month of my pregnancy, i thought i was out of the clear for stretch marks then BAM! there there were my butt my tummy my sides! never in my life have i had any :)
my daughter was 8lbs 11oz when she was born(my 1st)
i had and still have a pudgy tummy. however its on the smaller side now but i still have some baby weight hanging around and my stretch marks are still there too. i weigh 135lbs now....ALMOST fit in my pre preggo jeans :) i try to embrace it, but its hard because i dont feel sexy for my husband at all and feel he doesnt think i am.....it takes time :) i have a beautiful 4 month old baby that i carried....i am PROUD

Well I've always been a little chunky. Not huge but chunky. Before I got pregnant I lost a ton of weight was down to a size 11 which is a nice size for me. I had a perfectly flat stomach and I was so happy with my body. When I got pregnant I was small for the longest time. I mean when I was 6 months pregnant I still had only gained 4 lbs. But then i got addicted to sweet stuff. I just HAD to have it. I mean I dreamt about it and woke up having to have it. I ended up gaining 75lbs. I have only lost 40lbs. I'm almost as small as I used to be before I was pregnant. But I also have stretch marks on my stomach. I mean like halfway down my stomach they start and go all the way down onto the top of my area...if you know what I mean. I have extra skin and I hate how when I wear jeans I have a pouch you can see below the wait line. It's not big but I notice it. Other than that nothing else was affected. I've been losing steady weight by doing nothing other than work, and taking care of my kid. So they say it takes 2 years for the body to fully heal from having a kid. Hope that by the time my daughter is 2 I'm at least close to where I want to be.

my belly looks like pizza dough with stretch marks...i weighed 180 when i got pregnant and i weighed 204 when i gave birth and then i went down to 160 now i weigh 173. i feel like i can't keep the weight off, and that i am unattractive to my husband. and my daughter is 7 months old now.

All the skinny girls are so lucky! As for me.. Ive always been on the "bigger" side.. I did lose 40 lbs before I got pregnant and was looking the best that I ever had. Pregnancy helped bring me right back up to where I was before but I have lost 20 of the 40 lbs in a month. Feel like Im fitting my prepregnancy clothes more and more each week. as far as stretch marks go.. I never had any that were crazy insane like I do now so thats pretty depressing, but its a small sacrifice for my little bundle of joy. Trever is welll worth it.

as long as you work out and keep eating right there is no reason why you wouldnt loose the weight.. use a lot of coco butter lotion during the pregnancy and you should be able to avoid the stretch marks.... all this worked for me :)
