How long did it take you to get pregnant after going off the pill?

Well I was on the Nuva ring and it took my husband and I 9 months before I got pregnant after I quit :( but everyone is different. Now we have a beautiful baby girl who is one month! The best of luck to you. Sending lots of baby dust ♥

Hey, well for starter my boyfriend is a twin. And im 18. I currently am on the noristerat shot. which last 2 months. I Had not seen my period on the shot for about a month and a half then last week it came on very lightly and no clots came out. recently all my family have been dreaming that i am pregnant with twins including myself, my mom and my sister. is it possible for me to become pregnant on this shot ? or have anyone gotton pregnant on this shot before

im a 37 mother of 2.. I have also had one miscarriage and one abortion. that was at 35.. I recently started dating a good friend of mine and we both want to try for our last child together.. when we first started talking about conceiving I was on the pill.. first I was on YAZ for 2 months, then on Sronyx for 2.. I did not like either one.. they did wonders on me.. for I have not been on bcp for 9 years or so. . so I decided to stop taking them in Oct 2012 its now 12/2012 and I have had a rollercoaster of side affects.. for the first two months I could of sw0rn on everything I was pregnant.. I had all the typical symptoms except for vomiting. so that was weird itself since all of my pregnancies were symptom free. but no pregnancy in sight.. I am now going on month 3 and we have just decided to let fait take its course and just not prevent and whatever happens happen.. my thing is honestly.. I am afraid that I am now too old or Im being punished for having an abortion with my last pregnancy. Since now i am actually wanting to coneive it is more difficult than when I was not trying and became pregnant just like that. . I will never again try bcp.. and if four months of those extra hormones and chemicals have done my body this way. I can only imagine what it has done to anyone elses.. but I do know everyone is different and I have gone to the doctor and no signs of trouble and my guy is fertile.. both of our yougest is 10. so please pray for me,because this is crazy..has anyone else taken bcp for this short period of time and have had trouble conceiving afterwards. if not then I suppose it is me then.. bblessed.

It depends on each individual woman and her body. Each of us are different in how easy or hard it is for us to get pregnant. When the father of my children and I decided to try again, I went off birth control. It took six months to get pregnant. For others its faster and others its longer....just depends.

I can just offer statistics. 85% of women, under the age of 35, will get pregnant within one year of having regular unprotected sex. If after 1 year it hasn't happened most doctors will allow you to start going down the road of fertility testing.

You can speed things up by using ovulation predictor tests and timing bd'ing. There are lots of great sites which will help you pinpoint what days are pry best for you even if you don't temp, chart mucus, or use ovulation predictor tests. fertilityfriend and mycyclemonthly are both great.

ive been off the pill for a year and 5 months ive been trying for 9 months now no luck its so depressing i think that i am when im late but that can be down to the pill coming out your system go out and enjoy yourself keep busy the less you focus on it the less stressful it is lol enjoy life its to short to get worked up about pregnancy the less you focus on it the more chance you have of concieving if im not pregnant in january im going on prenantals hopefully it will increase my chances people please pray for me im scared i cant get pregnant :( xx

We got pregnant with my last son the 4th month off the pill which I had been on for about 6 months prior. I was surprised it took so log as we definately did not "miss the opportunity". I know my periods were messed up for the first months off the pill. I ended up using an herbal fertility blend the fourth month and I assume it regulated things since I fell pregnant. Good luck!

My current pregnancy I went off the pill on 23 April and was pregnant by the 20 May... with twins! I had been on the pill for approximately 2.5 years. I have had 2 miscarriages and found that after each one I conceived a whole lot quicker due to hormones being all over the place. Both of our girsl were conceived after miscarriages, one took about 8 months and the other about 6 months. I was 29 when I had our first daughter : ) Everyone is different. I honestly think it depends on your body and age can play a factor. At the age of 18 I concieved my son during the two days I was off the pill before getting the Depo shot. I was on BC for about 10 years and stopped taking the pill back in 2008. I am now 34 years old & no BC for the last four years and yet to concieve again. I am begining to accept that the lord blessed me with one child and that is all I will have : (

As one reply said everyone is different. Talk with your doctor make sure you have hood health. Relax and have sex when uou feel like or as often as possible. Took me a month or 3 to get pregnant. Eat well and dont think of it (getting pregnt) jist enjoy the sex. And i was constantly off and on the pill.

we got pg within weeks of coming off the nuvaring with bb#1. bb #2 it took 3 months off the nuvaring. baby #3(jan) within wks off nuvaring (tho m/c) then baby #4(march) within 3months off nuvaring (another m/c) then baby #5(july) within 7months off nuvaring.

I have been off the pill since April and I'm still not pregnant yet - I bought a 1st response ovulation test to help me know when I'm ovulating. I'm praying this month is the month! My oldest I got pregnant while I was on the pill, and my 2nd one was kind of an oops baby, so this is the first time I've actually TTC. I'm 26 as well - perfect age for us to get pregnant right?! i guess it all depends on your body.... take prenatals now because it helps you get pregnant faster. I was on the pill for five years and i stopped it got pregnant in seven days and my son just turned a year and i was recently on the pill when i stopped breatfeeding about when he was 6 months old i started the pill again and stopped it like i did the first time and got pregnant about in two weeks lol so im 15 weeks pregnant now.

The first time it took me a month. After I had my daughter I went on Mirena, and when I came off I did not get pregnant as easily. My doctor actually put me on the pill for a month and then told me to have sex every 2-3 days after coming off, and I should conceive. Sure enough, I conceived that following month when I ovulated. He told me that the times women are most fertile are when they first go off the pill and right after they give birth. Guess his little trick worked. I am due to have baby number 2 next week!

Hi Chrissy! I'm also 26. I was on birth control for for eight years after my first son was born in 2003. I was on the Depo shot for about 2 years after his birth then I started using oral contraceptives. It took my husband and I about 6 months after quitting the pill to get pregnant. This may be TMI but it was the best advice we got & I believe it really helped! Just remember to count 14 days from the 1st day of your last period. That is the magic day! Our doctor told us just to have sex every other day. She said not overdue it because the sperm count would get low if it's too frequent. We had been doing this for several months and no luck. Then my midwife said to count to the 14 days and said to have sex the day before that, the day of & the day after. We got pregnant that next cycle!! You basically have a 24 hour window. So if you have sex every other day around your ovulation period you could be missing that window. Also another bit of advice...don't get discourage or try to hard. I know that's easier said than done! Trust me!! I was the same way. I would take a pregnancy test all the time & would get let down time & time again. It will happen. I have a 5 month old baby boy. I was on the pill for about 4 years or so, a month before I got married (June 2011) i got off the pill. We got pregnant on our honeymoon!! I was off the pill for 2 weeks and we were on our honey moon for 2 weeks. I felt a lil nauseous when we got home and I knew I was pregnant. And now here we are with a key west honeymoon Baby. With my first child, I was actually still on the pill when I got pregnant! With my second, I went off the pill in mid June and was pregnant by mid-July. It is different for everyone. Some factors that come in to play are how long you have been on the pill, what pill you were on, how versed you are in your own ovulation cycle, etc.

Be paitent, it might be quick but it might not. Good luck!
