How long do you wait to try again after having a miscarriage?

well, you have eggs that are waiting there right now so if you want to try right away then start now. you might get pregnant right away.

My midwife recommended waiting one cycle. I had one normal period and then began TTC again. I used an OPT though and it wasn't until the 3rd month after my miscarriage that I ovulated. We got pregnant immediately then, and my daughter was born one year to the day of my miscarriage.

I waited 5 months after my first miscarriage, I wasn't mentally ready until then. After my second miscarriage I got pregnant after two periods. My OB suggested in both cases to wait until after at least one full menstral cycle to make sure that my uterus had a chance to heal. I didn't ovulate after the second miscarraige until after my second period.

Both of mine were in the first trimester. You may have to wait longer if you miscarried later.

I had a miscarriage in july. It was my 3rd one. I am now 20 weeks pregnant. If you work it out, the miscarriage date is the date I track my pregnancy from. The doctor said it shouldn't cause any problems with this pregnancy because I am a healthy person and the reason i lost the baby was not because of anything wrong with my uterus.

Doctors say that people should wait 1 year. but It all depends if you had anything done..?

After both of my miscarriages I was told to go ahead and try right away. Had a very healthy baby after each one.

i had a my second miscarriage on dec 1,2011 and also had one jan 18, 2011. when i had my first miscarriage the doctor said to wait till i have 1 period and then i could start trying but i wait to start trying because i wasnt emotionally ready. this time i bled for 1 week and now the bleeding has stopped ive already started trying even though ihave had a period yet. (im trying for baby #2) best wishes

When I had a miscarriage in Jan of 2010, doctors recommended I wait at least a year so that my body had time to properly heal but I tried again right away and got pregnant March of 2010...delivering a perfectly healthy Baby Boy in February 2011.

first off, so sorry for what you are going through! when i had mine the dr told me to wait and have one regular cycle before i tried again. (so it was the bleed from the miscarriage, then the normal cycle the next month then we were free to try again). good luck and i hope all goes well for you in the future
