i was induced with my daughter. I got my waters broken at half past 8 in the morning then my drip got put in an hour later. i had Natalie at 3:59pm that afternoon. So i was only in labour for 6 hours, i only pushed for 14 minutes. I think that was good what do others think. Natalie is my first child.

Although there was no medical reason for me to have a C-section, I chose to have one for personal reasons. I loved it! I'm so happy that I had a C-section. I got so lucky that I was able to find a wonderful doctor who would give me a C-section that I did not medically need. I did not have to go through any labor, I was never exposed (it was very private, I made sure of that), and it was pain-free. I would gladly choose a little bit of post-op pain over giving birth the normal way. LOL. I went into surgery with my hair and make-up done and came out looking exactly the same! You wouldn't be able to tell from my hospital pictures that I had just had a baby! If you're wondering why I chose to have a C-section, it's because all my life I've heard horror stories about giving birth. I've gotten a lot of flack for my decision, but I feel that every person is an individual with their own opinions, thoughts, and feelings. A C-section was the right choice for me and I'm so happy I did it!

I didn't realise I was in labour with my first. Just thought it to be BH. From 5cm dilated I had my baby naturally - waterbirth - no drugs 4.5 hours later. Pushed for only 15 minutes. My body took a break at 10cm dilated for about 20 minutes before I felt the urge to push which was great as I got to relax.

I was 1cm for 2 weeks and then my waters sprung a leak at work 10 days before due date and she was born the next morning. Total 18 hours labour (first 9 without the epidural) and 7 minutes of pushing.

My first son was an induced labor and it only took 4 hours of labor before I had my older son and it took two pushes and he made his appearance. Then my second son it was around 7 hours of active labor and it was started by itself and then I gave it two good pushes and he was out. Your labor sounds pretty good in the sense that it wasn't long at all.

I was in labor for 44 hours pushed for 4 hours then had a forcep assist.

They tried to give me an epidural 17 times yup 17 before they got it in, I actually gave up at try number 14 and then 9 hours of hard labor later they did a shift change so i asked that the new guy try because I couldent handle the pain anymore he got it in on the third try but it still never worked properly and he had to "top it up" about 6 times, then on top of all that they cut a huge 3 inch gash in the back of my babies head with the forceps!!!

I said I would never go through it again!!!! Now my daughter is 11 weeks today and I would do it again everyday for her ( lol i guess every two days) ♥

8 1/2 months of puking my guts up, literally living with my head in the toilet & feeling nauseous every other minute when not puking. Went into early labor at 6 months, had to be flown out of my province they stopped it. Got charged $1000 for emergency helicopter service. 23 hours of intense back labor while puking my guts up every 5 minutes, 30 minutes of pushing also puking my guts up. Instead of counting the minutes between contractions, I was counting minutes between puking!

I got pregnant again, same thing. Puked my guts up lived in the toilet, but sadly miscarried. I will NEVER put myself through pregnancy again, it was absolutely horrific for me!

I didnt know i was in labour as it was my first child too, i thought i was just having braxton hicks, so i consider my labour to be about 2.5 -3 hours and i pushed about 3-4 times and she arrived.

for 5 days i had mild contractions that were about 8-10 mins apart and then i had full strong cloe together contractions for 42 hours. I had TERRIBLE contractions and I was screaming the whole time. my daughter got stuck in the birth canal.(nurse said I have very narrow and close together bones) They were going to give me a c section, but in my birth plan I stated that i ONLY wanted a c section if it was NEEDED ie baby in danger.
The nurses kept telling me I wasnt going to progress and I should think about a c section. I was persistent and after 42 hours of crying and screaming (no drugs) i had an episiotomy and help from a vacuum.

next time I will request to be induced.

I went in on 7AM on a tuesday morning to be induced and didn't have Jackson till 11:21AM on thursday morning. I started pushing at 7AM on thursday and then after pushing for almost 4 hours and him not moving at all I finally had to have a C-Section. Boy was I glad when that was all over with and I finally got to hold my happy healthy baby boy. I hated the whole induction process and feel cheated that I could not push my baby out after trying for almsot 4 hours. I hope my next one goes smoother.

I think that was a pretty normal delivery time, but fast for being induced! I was not induced and my first was over 8 hours, 2 of which were spent pushing. The only reason the pushing didn't take longer is because they threatened a C-section! A friend of mine was induced at 6am and had her baby girl about 11 hours later.
