It took me like 3 months.i thought i could nt have kids for some funny reason but than after i started actually trying with my guy it happened in like 3 months.although when we were trying that seemed like forever.

First 1 was the first month we tried. Second was about a year. Third was an unplanned pregnancy & twins at that!

I dont think its you I am 21 and my boyfriend is 31 and our first son it only took 3- 6 months but after my son it took about 10 months... Just keep your head up... Wish you the best of luck

Didn't mean to sound insensitive, I only saw the question at first...They say a healthy couple could take between 6 months to 18 months to get pregnant so don't lose hope! Just have fun with it!

i would say right now relax. you want to be pregnant with his first child that maybe your focusing on it to much. just relax. i have a 4 1/2 yr old girl and in september i had my iud removed. i wanted to get pregnant but had some cautions about it and when i basically put it behind me it just happened. i moved states and then all of a sudden i pregnant. i told a friend who was just really wanting to get pregnant to just stop thinking about it and next thing we knew she was pregnant and she had tried for a long time. it will happen when the time is right

I'm very sorry about your situation, but don't give up so soon. You might look into talking to your Dr. I'm sure they have better advice than anyone. My mom had a friend who had no children and tried many yrs to get pregnant. She just thought she was unable to get pregnant. In her early 40's she went to the Dr. thinking something was wrong with her, she was told she was 7 months pregnant. She though the absence of her period was sign of "the change". She is a great mother, and is very happy. I however have been pregnant 5 times in the last 8 years. I have 3 lovely children 1 of which was planned. We are expecting our 4th this April, whom was the biggest surprise of all! I get pregnant as soon as I get off birth control (days) and in some cases even when on birth control. Im 26 and my partner is 39, he has two boys aged 13 and 8 from previous. We tried for three months, I bought a kitten and lavished all my love and attention on that (basically didnt think about getting pregnant anymore) and then we fell pregnant last January. My partner had a vasectomy reversal about six years ago so we were worrying about whether of not we'd be able to conceive naturally. I had also been on the pill for about eight years. We were waiting for the results of hubby's fertility but as it turns out he's perfectly normal. they day before we got the results we found out we were expecting. Hubby also took zinc supplements and we did the deed every single day more than once for the whole month of December- I was determined to fall pregnant!! We had our gorgeous baby boy Charlie Finn on 27th October 2009!! feel so blessed that it happened so quickly!

Well with my first we were not really trying because I had just had a miscarriage. With my second we tried for about a month. I just found out I'm expecting again & we just started trying a few weeks ago! I never thought I'd get pregnant this quick I have PCOS and I'm not regular at all. But apparently me and my hubby are pretty fertile! :)

It took me 18months with my first. He is now 5 months and I was 28 when I had him. I didn't think I could have kids because it took soooo long. I have a stepson and wanted me to at least have 1 brother or sister. We are going to try for more but hopefully it doesn't take as long next time. As much as I love my stepson, I wanted to have my own baby too.

It took me 9 months of trying really hard to get pregnant with my baby. And sad thing was we were arguing and doing the whole... "having sex because although we were mad we didnt want to go without sex" kind of sex when our child was concieved. lol.

The way I se it is God will allow you to get pregnant when He feels it is the right time for you and your husband. So keep trying if you really want to have a baby with your husband, and one day it will come true for you.

And if worst comes to worst, have your hubby tested to make sure he can have children, since you now you are fully able, and look into IVF. Sometimes science has to assit with the miracles of God for things to go the way you hope them to.

I took me two weeks to get prego, but I had tried a few years earlier and never could! So dont worry, the time will happen when its right, it takes longer for some and not enough time for others. Just be patient, and try your best. If you feel it may be you or him, then it probably wouldnt hurt to get a evaluation, but I think you will find that it is just gonna take time, and it will happpen eventually!

Kristin: dont get impatient..... it will happen when the time is right. I had my daughter after three years of not using precausions. I thought that I couldnt get pregnant and then I stopped thinking about it and bam I was pregnant. I am wondering if the same thing will happen when we start trying for are second, but then I think oh well when the time is right it will happen!!

I tried for a year and a half to get pregnant with my ex-husband while we were dating and after we got married. It didn't happen, and I didn't think I could get pregnant, hence my lack of carefulness when I did conceive ;]

if you were on birth control that can effect the time it takes to get pregnant, it took me 15 months the first time, and 6 months the second.

At your ages I wouldn't assume it to be a fertility problem, especially considering you've already had children though because he has none the issue has never presented itself and I doubt he's been tested in the past. It could just be possible that you haven't given it enough time, an old friend of mine tried for nearly a year before she got pregnant - she and her husband had actually made appointments with a fertility clinic and like two days before the appointment she found out she was pregnant. My ex-husband and I were not trying to conceive but got pregnant fairly quickly. We were only dating about 3 months when I got pregnant with our first child, now 5, and then she was only six months old when I got pregnant with our second child, who will be 4 in just a few weeks.

If you really want a baby with this man then I say don't give up just yet. You may want to look into those ovulation tests that show you when is your best time to try getting prego. If you are worried that one or both of you may be experiencing difficulty in making the baby then you both should go to the doctor to have them do some tests just to make sure. I have heard that after most people give up trying to get pregnant is when most women conceive so maybe if you stop worrying about trying to get pregnant so much that your body will let it happen on it's own. Stressing about it is only making it harder for you to conceive.

It took me 1 month with my first, 3 months with my second (which I lost) and then 2 months with my third, however, they say that 90% of woman take at least 6 months to fall pregnant so i guess I was lucky but I wouldn't worry too much, I'm sure it will happen soon!

Hi,

Dont be alarmed, It took me over 5 months to fall. I started by working out my cycle, the worked out the middle of the cycle and started trying 2 days before that day until 2 days after that day. I was also told it had to do with the food I was eating but I dont believe that as i was all healthy.

Maybe if it hasnt happened in another 2 months get it checked. Reason I say this is friends of mine were trying and it had been 8 months - turned out he had some sort of infection in his semen but nothing hurt or anything so no one knew.

Just because you have 2 children doesnt mean that you shouldnt have more.

well lets see the hubby got home from boot camp on christmas eve and we started trying on the 2nd and i found out i was prego on the 10th after a few days of morning sickness

Took me and my husband a year almost to the day of trying. The funny thing is it happened when we least expected and ended up with twins! Funny how things like this happen. Stop actually trying and it will happen. :)

Our first was a big suprise but we tried for over a year to get pregnant agine and it wasnt happening. My Dr advised me to try loseing a little weight and my hubbys buddy tolde him we should have sex everyday!!l lol So I lost 12 lbs and we had sex everyday and everytime I put my feet up in the air for about 5 minuts and month later I was pregnant!! LOL Dont know if any of it really worked but when we are ready to have our third I know exactly what we will do!!! LOL

I was pregnant after a few weeks of being married, wasn't really trying, but wasn't stopping it either. I would say you need a good vitamin regimen, maybe have you husband try it too if you think it might be him with the problem. Take "Nutrilite Double X" and "Nutrilite Tri-Iron-Folic". I know of women who had issues conceiving for years and they started taking those and they got pregnant within 2 months. They are completely natural nothing synthetic. You can get them at this website www.shopcls.mychoices.biz, currently you have to sign up as a "customer" to view the product but that doesn't mean you have to buy anything, it doesn't cost you anything to sign up or be a customer and you won't get any spam mail from it either, if you search those items on the website it will tell you everything you want to know, you can print off anything like nutrition info and bring it to your doctor if you want there input also. You can take those instead of your pre-natals. Once pregnant you can continue taking that or take a "Nutrilite Woman's Supplement Pack" and day and two of the Tri-Iron-Folic". When I was pregnant I took the regular pre-natals prescribed by my doctor and then after I was pregnant and still breast feeding I found out about the Nutrilite vitamins and tryed them because I was feeling really tired while on my other ones and when I switched I felt better within 3 days, I wasn't getting enough Iron from the prescription ones.
