I had my son at 40 weeks, 1 day and he was 9 lbs. 2 oz. They thought that b/c I was still only 1 cm the day before my due date, that I would probably go until July 7th (I was due June 26th and had my son on the 27th) and they scheduled me to be induced on July 7th..
I actually called my sister on my due date, crying b/c it seemed like nothing was happening and I knew he was going to be a big boy and I didn't want to wait that long.. My contractions literally started getting stronger as soon as i got off the phone with her and about 4 or 5 hours later, my water broke. But I have to say that I was quite glad b/c I didn't want to have a baby that was as big as I was (10 lbs. 9 oz. AND my mother had me naturally!!!)

My water broke first too, I wasn't having contractions at first but they came as soon as I got to the hospital!!!! Sorry to hear you had such a hard time...I was in labor from 4pm until 5am the next morning, born by c section due to her being transverse. I pushed for 2hrs. but she just wouldn't turn on her own...good luck with your precious new baby!!!!! Enjoy the holiday!!!
i had my little boy just over 3weeks early, my waters broke on the thursday night at 2.20am but i had no contractions so they induced me and he was was born at 10.15pm on the sat night by natural birth there was alot of complications and he had to be revived but other then that he was perfectly healthy

my first son was 10 days over due...my 2nd went 2 weeks early, my 3rd was 4 weeks early...my fourth was 3 weeks early and my twins were 2 1/2 weeks early. youy gonna want to walk a lot, trust me it makes delivery much easier. i delivered my first 4 all natural, and because i walked so much, each one was only about 10-15 minutes of pushing.
Walk throughout the pregnancy or while you are in the hospital? My cousins have told me to not lay down in the bed until I absolutely have to otherwise I will be in labor much longer.

My son was born on December 6th 2000, instead of December 8th. My daughter was born at 37 weeks after a long and eventful pregnancy full of preterm labor, hospitalizations, and bed rest. She weighed 7.1 and was completely fine.

I gave birth to my daughter early ar 32 weeks and two days. She was 6 lbs 14 ounces and 20 inches long. No heath problems and was sent home same time I was.(two days, which is standard where I live) Her doctor said that she was a fullterm baby in every way. And that she would have never guessed she was a preemie. My daughter is very smart, normal in all her milstones, said here first word at four months old and at 18 months weighs 27 pounds and is around 35 -36 inches tall.

I had my daughter at 36 weeks. She was 5lbs 8ozs. She was in the NICU for a week, she had a fever and they wanted to make sure she could hold her body temp. She was also jaundice. She is 8 months old, learning new things everyday, she is very happy and full of energy :)

My first was born 5 weeks early. With my second I was put on bed rest at 32 weeks and was given pills to slow down my 3 min apart contractions but luckily she wasn't born until full term. And I'm currently 8 months pregnant and at 2 cm and having contractions for the last month just like the 2nd pregnancy.

i was induced 6 days early. got to the hospital, got checked into my room they placed something that looked similar to a tampon string inside of me(not sure the name of it) and that was just supposed to start the contractions which it did. i began to get some painful contractions, i asked for medication and the nurse and my husband told me to wait until i could not take the pain at all. the nurse walked out the room and as she walked out i got another contraction and begged for her to gove me medication. she shot something into my IV and i fell asleep.he woke me up later to give me the medication that was supposed to make me dilate but i was already 8cm. so we just waited about 20 miniutes and i was 10 cm. got rolled into the delivery room and pushed for about 5 minutes and my beautiful daughter made her way into this world.

I went into preterm labor at 28 weeks. spent 2 weeks in the hospital and then5 at home on strict bedrest. delivered a few days before 36wks. Luckily i was pumped so full of steroids and what not during my hospital stay she was born weighing 5lbs 6.5oz and was able to go home the next day. She had jaundice really bad and had to be on photo therapy lights for a few weeks but otherwise was healthy at birth.

My son who was my first born was 3 weeks early and my daughter was almost a week late. Everyone told me that my son would be late and my daughter would be early... it is impossible to predict. I can't say that I was too upset though because my son was due on my birthday and my daughter was due on mothers day... I know it's a little selfish but I'm kind of glad that I did not have to deal with that pain on my either of my special days and now I won't have to give days up for my kids either. My kids can have their own special day and I get to still have one too :)

My Daughter Sofia was born at 35 weeks (weighing 6lb 1oz) within an hour and a half of the start of my labour pains... it was a surprise to say the least, I had only been left work 3 days!! She's 17 months now and is wonderful, you would never know she'd been so small!
