My daughter was getting 6oz every 4 hours on formula sometimes every 6 hours every child is different my oldest was 4 oz every 2-3 hrs but I never had my youngest on a schedule I would just feed her when she wanted it. Now at 11 months she drinks 6oz at breakfast, lunch, dinner and at bedtime. Of course that besides what she eats all day. Since I'm on WIC I don't worry about wasting the formula I just make a 6oz bottle and see how much she drinks and keep tabs on how long she goes till the next one and if she drank 4 oz I'd make 5 oz and see if she would drink it all. Sometimes they like to drink more than you make lol Good luck

6 weeks is really young to be going 3 hours especially during the day. My little ones fed every 1-2 even on formula at that age and had sometimes 100mL sometimes less or more. I just demand fed.

Each baby is a little different, but I would first suggest you not put the baby on a strict feeding schedule. Keeping track of your routine is good, but it's to the baby's detriment to be on a strict schedule. I assume that you are formula feeding? If not, breast milk digests more easily and a bit faster so you will have to feed a bit more frequently. If I remember correctly, my newborns alwaystook 2-3 oz at a time at about 6 weeks.
