Hi,my 3 year old boy spends about half of his week with his nan in her house and his Aunty as they live together, but sometimes I feel guilty because I am not looking after him so much,he loves it there and has recently started sleeping overnight,he comes homes at night after spending a few hours in her house and stays overnight now and again,I had a very close relationship with my nan and she was like my 2nd mum, so sometimes i dont mind,I just wanted to know how much time your little ones spend with their grandparents? Thanks

Our son goes to his Grandma's once a week for dinner and she usually gives him a bath as well. Which is great, one less night I have to cook, clean and bathe. We all need a break sometimes and I so appreciate her support. He also has an overnight with her every other weekend. Hubby and I use the overnight as our date night. I don't see a problem with a child spending time with their grandparents.

My kids see my parents a few days a week. Sometimes its every other week but recently it has been every week. My parents have been picking them up early Wed morning and bringing them back Thursday by dinner time.

Hardly ever. My 4 year old has spent the night ONCE w/ his grandparents (granted, he wasn't ready until recently). My older kids have done more overnighters, but it usually ends up only being a few times/year.

I would not be comfortable with my kids being away from me half the week, but would love it if they could spend one or two weekends a month with their grandparents.

I think your 3 year old is very lucky to have a good relationship with his nan. My kids had very little contact with their grandparents as they were out at work or doing other things. Very sad really. Yet I had a brilliant relationship with my nan and spent summer holidays with her.
