I bath my ten month old every night, only because ive done this since birth and he knows its bedtime after bathtime. i used to bath him and my daughter everymorning and night, but now i just wipe there nether regions down with a warm cloth.

The weather in the Philippines is hot so my daughter who is 3 years old takes a bath everyday and before bed time. That way she feels relaxed and clean and cool.

Thats just about our same routine. I was always told bathing the child too often isn't good for them.

I have a 2 year old and we bathe him every night. Once a child is mobile I think it is a wise choice to bathe them every day unless there is a medical condition. They get into so many things and tend to sweat quite often plus its soothing and fun.

We were told by our pediatrician to NOT give our baby a bath every single night. It dries out their skin. We gave our son a bath three times a week unless he got into something dirty or we used sunscreen. He is now 18 months old and we give him a bath almost every other night because he plays outside alot. I would say you are doing just fine with the routine you have now.

We bathe our almost 6.5 month old every night. We like to do it for bonding time with him(daddy bathes some night, mummy others and we have baths with him too), we find it's made him love water and hopefully will put him in swim lessons in the summer, and to wash off any extra poo, wee, any smells lol plus to wash off the milk that collects under his neck sometimes after a feed because it can get reallll stinky! Also it lets him know its time to settle down and go to bed soon enough.

my daughter is 20months she doesnt really like baths so she showers and generally will shower everyday with me or every 2nd day unless gets dirty and needs to shower

yeah we do it for the routien too that was the one peice of advice my mom told me helped her the most they need a routine to know whats time it all day l have tried to keep the routine based approch since she was born sometimes we get out of it and it so hard to get back for them so i try to be good about it but bed time i think is really important so that they are ready to go to bed about on the nights i miss she would stay up all night if she could

I have been bathing my son every single night since he was about 4 months old. They dont technically need to be scrubed down every night. I clean the areas every night that need it, his privates and face and hands. we put soap in the bath about every other night. So he mostly gets to just hang out and play in the bath. Having a bath for our son is mostly just to keep him on a routine. we give him a bath everynight before bed, it lets him know it is bed time. Our pediatrician told us when he was little it is fine to bathe him every night as long as your not soaping him down everynight because they really only need baths a few times a week but he he said if your son loves baths then let him get in the bath every night if he hates baths then a few times a week is fine. My son gets pretty messy when he eats, he is teething so in the middle of eating he takes his messy hands and pulls his ears and rubs his food in his hair. So i do shampoo his hair every night. Also as long as you are moisturizing their skin after baths it is fine to bathe them every night. My pediatrician says there is like a 2 minute window after the bath were you need to quickly dry them so their skin doesnt dry out then quickly get the lotion, or cream or oil all over them. Cream and oil is typically better then lotion because there is a lot of water in lotion so it doesnt moisturize as well. Never let them sit in front of a heater after a bath becasue it just sucks all the moister out of their skin and drys them out.

i have a three year old and she takes a shower or bath everyday or every other day at the least cause she gets into everything and is so active that i have too durring the winter i just make sure that she gets a good baby massage with johnson and johnson lotion her skin is never dry out cause i make sure that we drink lots of water with the everyday lotion. it has been our bed time routine we start with a bath or shower i love that she likes showers now thats she is older and then we have a massage. i am a massage therapist but i have told my friend and all there friends that its nice at the end of the day to have a quiet five ten mins with her to calm her down then brush teeth do hair so its up and not knotty tommorrow i try braiding it like back in the olden days cause her hair is frizzy like mine then we watch sprout to gether and say good nite my daughter likes the sprout streches with nina so we do them together

my son is ten months and he gets a bath every night. you see they crawl and walk and get dirty and they also touch things so i dont want my son to get sick with something. child are touching so many things that are germ infested and that isnt good for them. so yeah my son gets a bath once a day and nothing more until he is older and more independent.

My son is 2 1/2 and he gets a bath every other day unless he makes a mess of himself. Sometimes he wants one on the off days as well so usually 4 times a week.

We start our nightly routine with a bath then brush teeth, jammies and 3 books. But I only wash his hair every other day. We have been doing that since he was about 8 months (now 2 1/2 yrs). It is a great way to get him prepared to go to sleep and to relax.

My son is 16 months old, and I bathe him every other night. I noticed that when I bathed him daily he was getting a little rash on his back, so I cut back and started every other day and noticed that made a difference in his skin.

When my son is 5 years old and he has a bath at least once a day sometimes more depending on circumstances. When he was younger.... He still was bathed at least once daily.... sometimes more again depending on circumstances. My mother always taught me that a baby that is clean sleeps well and is in general happier unless something was wrong. She was correct. My son was and still is a very happy child. =)

well before we had our 2nd child I would bath our 2 year old every night but now its turned into only bathing him when he really needs it. every 3 days or so unless he goes to somewhere with a lot of other children or go swimming or somewhere he sweats a lot.

My girls 3, 2 and 1 all get a bath every night since they were born. Between spit up and being in a diaper all day, food from meals in hair and the face and sweaty from playing I can't imagine them getting bathed any less.

I have a 3 and 1 year old.. They bath 3 times a week and I alternate days with them.. My son has BAD eczema and sometimes I have to just give him 2 bathes a week and just spot clean him during the day... I actually brought this up with their doc and she said it is typical to give kids of these ages 3 bathes or so a week, and just spot clean them if they get messy..

My daughter is 20 months and she gets a bath every night unless we stay at home and she doesn't get messy, then I wipe her down really good with wet wipes b4 bed. In the winter I make sure the bathroom is warm and then I hurry to dry her off and blow dry her hair until her scalp is dry so she doesn't get sick.

Bathing her every night helps her to relax before bed, I find she sleeps better when she has a bath.... which means Mama sleeps better! lol

I have three kids, ages 7, 5 and 3. We bathe them every night. Not only does it help with routine, but it teaches them good habits. We also apply lotion each night. It goes right along with brushing their teeth before they go to bed. Besides....my kids are extremely active and I just can't deal with the funkyness of them not bathing. :)

I have a soon to be 2 and 3 year old and they get a bath every night because its so hot out and in the winter time I wipe them down in the morning and give them a bath every other night unless they get to messy.

my 4-year old is bathed every night since he was 3 weeks old ... the youngest is now nearly 4 months and we do the same with her. I cant imagine not to bathe them on a daily basis cos I see how uncomfortable it is not to be washed every day ... they both love it

my four year old gets a bath/shower every two days unless he gets himself dirty in which case he has one. he has a full body wash every morning he doesnt get a bath, and a full body wash every night x

Since it is summer I generally bathe my son everyday. He usually takes a shower now instead and has since he was about 2 or so, he is 4 now. In the winter we will do every other night.

I have a 19 month old and a 32 month old (2 years 8 months) and they have both get a bath every night before bed. The only time they don't get a bath is if we're not home during bath time and it's too late to give them a bath when we get home, but they get a bath as soon as they get up and then at their regular bath time the following day/night. They have been given a bath every night since they were both 2 months old. Their pediatrician said it was fine and they've been going to the same dr since they were born.

My daughter just turned 3 and she gets a bath *almost* every night. She is outside all the time and we play with paint, markers, glue, etc. as well as go swimming and run around in the sun, sand, and dirt. The only time she does not get one is if we have a later engagementto attend such as a birthday party or graduation party or something, which then her dad will usually give her a bath beforehand while i'm still at work so that she still gets a bath that day. She used to have horrible excema which we have cured by using aveeno everything with no fragrance or perfumes, including the sunscreen, lotions, and bathing washes. Baths are a normal part of our nighttime routine and it helps my daughter relax and to realize it's almost time for bed! As they get older and get more active and invloved in everything baths seem a little more necessary every day (if not twice!!).

i have a 3 year old and an 18 month old, both boys. they get a bath almost every night. sometimes we miss a night because of being out during "bath time" and them needing to go to bed when we get home. but boys get messy and dirty, and i know i can always relax better when i feel clean, so i do the same for them. also...its a good indicator for them that bed time is near. i think have a "system" is important to young children, they need structure in order to feel safe and secure. also, as your son gets older, you will notice more that he will not want to go to bed and stay up and play instead. if you have a schedule, getting them to go to bed is WAY easier on your AND them. they know the routine and it is just the norm. ours is dinner, bath, brush teeth, reading a book or just cuddling for a little bit and then they both know its bed time (also our oldest goes potty one last time). its the same every night, or atleast most nights. so bed time is easy. just food for thought..

I try to give Christopher a bath everyday, but it ends up being like 5 times a week maybe 4, just depending on how exhausted we are after the day is over. Of course, if he is super dirty or whatever we bathe him!

I would bathe my one year old every day if I could. She's a little hot box and always sweating so i bathe her as much as I can but she has eczema also and the doctor said not to bathe her every day. Currently we are between 3 and 4 times a week.

My girl is 17 months old and she has a bath every night. She loves her baths and we cant even say the word bath without her running to the bathroom door wanting one. So that word is off limits until it is actually bath time. She also knows that when she gets a bath that she has to go to bed afterwards.

yeah that really sucks! When I ask her dad if he gave her a bath his answer is always, "she didn't want to!!!" Really...who's the adult here...!" That is so frustrating, I just stopped asking~

My daughter is almost 17 months and in the summer time she gets a bath every other night (unless she gets really messy playing outside, eating something messy, those kinds of things) and in the winter time she gets a bath every 3 days. Her skin gets really dry in the winter (even with putting lotion on her) so we started bathing her every 3 days to give her skin a break.

My daughter gets a bath about 3-4 times a week. Sometimes less if she hasn't been outside, and more if we have had to use bug spray on her to keep away mosquitoes the size of rats. lol She loves taking a bath though. We don't use any lotion on her, and her skin seems fine.

yes i have that problem with my oldest when he goes to his fathers. i dont really think they bath him. i scrub him when he gets home. i dont know what they let him do when there but he is only with him 3 days every fortnight but smells really bad when he gets home after been there as they dont bath him

I bathe my 4yr old every other night. If it were up to me, I'd do it everyday because she does go to preschool/daycare all day 5x/wk, but since I share custody w/ her father he doesn't always give her a bath daily.

My son is 3, He has a bath every night and 6 or 7 days a week he likes to have a bath in the morning. he also has ezcema but i have figured out bathing him every night and in the morning helps it alot as he gets it bad and kids at night sweat in there sleep even when it is not hot which makes ezcema come out even more and it also drys there skin out if they are not bathed regularly. he has been bathed every day since he was born
