how often do you give you baby a bath?

My son is 1yr+ I bath him about every other day, but he only gets the whole soapy she-bang when he is very dirty (covered in food or poop) or otherwise about once a week.

my son is 7months and for the most part i give him a bath everyday, right before bed i think that it helps him relax and sleep more better.

I give my son a bath every other day and on the days he doesn't get a bath I give him a wipe down with wipes. When he gets a little more mobile and starts getting more dirty that will change to everyday. When I was first starting out I thought of it like this...would I wanna be clean after sitting around in wet and stinking diapers all day??? Just a thought

i bathe my daughter every night, it is part of our routine every day. She loves her bath time. she has her bath time at the same time as her big brother, so he gets to 'help' with her bath. then bottle and bed! it has really helped her to relax and sleep well all night! (however, we dont use soap every night, just the warm water is nice for her!)

i gave my boys bathes every day when they where babies, now i bath them every other day in less they are really dirty both have really bad dry skin so i have to watch how much they play in water or get a bath.

I've always given my little girl, now 10 months, a bath everyday. But I also put lotion on her after every bath. It moisturizes her skin, but she also likes the massage she gets while I rub it in. :)

I give my daugther a bath every other day to every 3 days because she has severe exzema and tends get really dry if i bathe too often. I was told to bathe every other day and she is 5 months now. I do wipe around her neck and in creases really good every day as they do tend to get really dirty or stink from sweat or spit up.

I bath my 7 month old everyday as part of our going to bed routine.
she's not dirty as such yet. sometimes I dont use bath wash, just water.
she enjoys it as well.

I give my daught a bath almost every night but thats just because it is part of her night time routine and helps her sleep better....but sometimes I skip a night here and there. It all depends on your baby. :]

I have a 19 month old and a 8 month old and im expecting my third in a few months and i bathy my children every day :-) its a nice bonding time and its hygenic especially when children start running around touching everything and getting dirty.

with my eldest i only bathed him evey other day because his skin would get really dry but with my younger two i bath them every day because they love it and i use baby oil or cream after every bath, my youngest is 9 weeks.
I know nurses and doctors etc mean well, but just use your mothers intuition its ususlly always right.

I have a 4 year old and a 19 month old and at first we were told not to do baths any more than once a week (which sounded really gross to me), For the longest time, we would do a bath every other night but now that the kids are alot older and have so much fun playing after supper, we usually do then on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, with baths in between as necessary.

well since it is still fairly cold out and my daughter doesn't really get too dirty I do it every 2 or 3 days...but every other day is totally fine...once it starts getting warmer though I too will be giving my child baths every other day...its fine as long as its not every day cause every day can actually get him sick...

i bath my son once a week and give him a full top and tail wash every morning it keeps him clean and doesnt dry him out. he doesnt get terribly dirty if he does i give him a quick wash and carry on.

You don't technically have to bath babies every day because they don't get dirty like they do when they get older. I washed my son every 2-3 days when he was a baby and everything was fine. In fact, if I bathed him more than that, he got horribly dry skin.

Every other day for now....he's 15 weeks today and doesn't get too dirty, but it is part of his bath time routine...followed by a baby massage with lots of lotion--so his skin is super soft! :)

I give our 6 month old little girl a bath every 2nd night. But now that it's starting to get a lot warmer out, I may start giving her more baths... if not that, then give her a good wipe-down before she goes to bed LOL.

When my kids were babies it was 2-3 times a week as they got older it became more! My son is 5 now so he gets one every morning and my daughter is 2 and gets one every night and sometimes in the morning if she is messy like with syrup from pancakes or milk from cereal!

I bath my baby every two days at least, especially if they are chubby and have rolls. bathing a baby every night is fine as long as you use a mild soap. i find it helps to relax them.

Hi Ciera well i take my 6 month old baby boy a bath everyday when he was a newborn we use to give him a sponge bath everyday sometimes everyother day. At the end of the day you should do with your child what you please dont let anyone tell you any different you are the mother and you know best

i bathe my 3 month old soon 2-3 times a week, but i do sponge bathe in between. Hes teething and drooling everywhere so i want to make sure it doesn't get underneath his double chin lol

When they are really little just bathe then 2 - 3 times per week. Use a mild soap and lotion afterwards. My pediatrician says not to use baby oil because theres a study out that sayd that it can make your babys skin stop producing their own natural oil. I'll ask her what it is again so I can find a link online and post it.

I have twin boys. At the moment since they are not running around and playing in the dirt the boys get bathed every second day. Cause that was the routine while the boys were in hospital for the first 3mths of their lives.
