my daughter was 6 months when i started giving her juice, but i also watered it down and started her on juices like pear and apple juice so it wasnt to acidic on her tummy.

I had to give my firstborn prune juice when she was 4 or 5 months old so she would have regular bowel movements... otherwise, I hear it should be around 6 months old and give them only 1/2 cup of 100% juice per day.

My daughter is 11 months old and I have not given her juice... I read all kinds of things for and against it... I am just choosing not to because she eats a lot and I do not want her to be getting more calories then she needs. I will probably give her juice after she is 1.

My peditrician said juice is never a necessity. besides formula/breast milk, water is the best option.

I have heard six months old and up is ok to give them very diluted juice, but personally I am opting to not give them anything but breastmilk and water for as long as possible. There isn't enough nutritional value to it for me to give it to them at this point considering how much sugar is in it. He gets fresh fruit which is healthier IMO. It's all personal parenting choices though in the end after six months though I think.

i was told 6 months and out of an open face cup mixing 1/2 and 1/2... But my babies doctors told me that it was ok to give it to my kids at 4 months mixing 1/2 and 1/2 but i always mixed it 1part juice to 3 parts water.. I mean you are mommy and you know whats best for baby.. If you really want a answer there is only one person that can give it to you and that is your doctor.. Hope this was helpful to some point.. take care and best wishes

Hello! It depends. I started my son on a little juice when he started solids (baby food.) I didn't give him regular juice, I bought him the Gerber juice and then diluted it alot so it wasn't so sugary. You can probably call the pediatrician and they should be able to tell you when you can start giving your baby juice!
Hope this helps! :-)
