I BOUGHT MY TWIN GIRLS TRAINING BRAS TODAY AND MY HUSBAND THINKS THEY ARE TOO YOUNG. THEY ARE 7 THEY WILL BE 8 IN SEPT. HE THINKS THAT THEY ARE GROWING UP TO QUICKLY. WHAT SHOULD I DO TO MAKE HIM UNDERSTAND? OR IM I MAKING THEM GROW UP TOO FAST?

Bottom line, it does not matter what age. If they are starting to develop breasts they need a bra. i was 7 when i got a bra because i needed it. My sister didnt get one until 10.

My husband and MIL said the same thing, and they convinced me to wait until she started to show little boobies. That conversation took place when my daughter was the same age as your girls. Then when she was about nine maybe nine and ½ she started to develop, we had the TALK, before this so she knew it was coming. But honey let me tell you I have had an uphill battle with her for almost two years with her and her bra’s.

My husband has to deal with it, by deal with it I mean when it delves into screaming matches. Things have mellowed out in the last year, but its still a struggle. Its better to do the training bra rather than wait until little boobies begin to show, then their confused, no matter how much you talk to them. Gah its no fun, having to explain to a tween. So in the short of it no your not making them grow up to fast, your just handling a natural situation the best you can.

He’ll never understand because its his babies, and he has a right to feel this way. Just try to calmly explain to him, your feelings on this, and that your only trying to help them understand their ever growing bodies. He still wont get it, and he deff wont like it, but he might understand where your coming from a bit better.

I started to get boobs at 8 and my mom didnt address the issue until I was i or 10. I felt a little weird about it at that point. I think if she had talked to me a little before I started to develop and explain what a bra was and what it was for I would have been more comfortable with the whole topic. If they are curious then it might be a good idea to at least talk to them about it. You could get them undershirts instead.

men don't have boobs, so they will never understand fully... just reassure him that you know what your doing.

Thank you mom's for all the advise. They are my oldest and I feel so lost sometimes. Thank you all again.

My 8 yr old twin girls started wearing the dance bras and they just like wearing them. So what! They don't have padding that makes them look like they have boobs, they like wearing them even around the house with their boxer shorts. Yup they wear them too!

When they start to develop breats. I would think 7 & 8 is a little young yet. Perhaps introduce them at around 10 or 11.

If they are starting to develope then I think they probably need them, but if not children already grow up too fast and I would have to agree with your husand that they are too young to have them. I didnt have one until i was about 10 or 11, i wasnt developing until then. Also if other kids can see them through your young girls shirts, like a polo shirt are they going to be teased and harrassed for wearing them when they dont need them?

it really depends on why you got them the training bras, are they wanting to wear them or starting to develop there even if its only a tiny bit then no youre not making them grow up 2 quick but if its only because you think they should be wearing them then maybe your hubby has a point but everyone will always differ on opinion :)

the bigger question is have they started to develop boobs yet. i was ten when i started to develop mine. if they have nothing then its way too early. you don't want them to grow up too fast because i think when they get older you could have some trouble on your hands. if there is something there that needs support then by all means i see no problem but if not then i agree with your husband its too early. i have a daughter i don't want her to grow up too fast.
