How old were you when you had your first child? And would you have changed that age if possible?

I was 20 years old when I had my first child ( a boy) and I would not have changed having him at that age at all. I was 21, 6 weeks after my son was born so I did not have a 21st bday party that is probably the only thing I would have liked but it is not a big deal as I had my baby!!!! I had my second son at 23 and I would not have changed that either. I loved having my kids then because now I am 29 years old with an 8 year old and a 6 year old and I love that I will not be too old when they get older!!!!!

I was pregnant at 19 and I had him at 20. I would not change a thing, because then I wouldn't have my beautiful boy. But the circumstances were far from ideal and I would definitely not recommend it.

I was 21 when I had my first child. I would not change it for the world. She is one of the best things that I could ever wish for. I am now expecting my 2nd any day now and am about to turn 26 in 2 days.

Wow, I'm only through the first page and I think I'm the oldest! I'm pretty ancient compared to everyone, lol!

I was 26 when I got pregnant, 27 when he was born. I think this was the perfect age for us to have a child. We'd been married for 4 years and it was a really great time for us. I don't think either of us was ready before that point. I'm sure we would have coped and adjusted well had we had a child earlier, but in terms of finances, maturity, our relationship, etc...the point at which we had him was right and I couldn't imagine having him sooner.

I had my first a month before I turned 21! It was pretty good timing, that way I could actually drink on my birthday. I wouldn't change anything though, it all happens for a reason :) It definitely gave me a wake up call and changed my priorities!

I became pregnant at 16 with my daughter and had her at 17 and had my son when I was 20. I would definitely change the age when I had my daughter because I was still a kid. The only way I would ever change it is if I could still have my Aidan Rose exactly how she is just a little later. I missed out on a lot. I know a lot of young mothers who still did everything like graduate and prom, but I didn't have a huge support group behind me to help me get to school and do things for me. I tried finishing highschool online, but couldn't concentrate with the baby so I had to drop out. And with that I didn't go to prom either and all of my friends abandoned me because I refused to party with my baby and some of them even had had babies too. I couldn't work because both my parents worked to support me, my baby, my sisters, and my brother and my daughter was too young to be in daycare and noone had the time to take her so I could try and support us. I was 17. I missed out on the last part of my childhood and the part where you move out and run around on your own for a little bit to figure out who you are. I missed out on so much because I had to go from listening to metal in my room writing poetry and planning my future with my friends to making sure everyone was quite for my sleeping baby and trying to figure out where the diapers were going to come from while my friends were pulling all nighters and going to clubs. I love my children and I wouldn't change them because I love them both SOOOOOOOOOO much I just wish I was in a stable relationship and past the part of my life that was supposedly supposed to be the best.

I had my son when I was 16 and my daughter when I was 19. Yes, I would've liked to wait, but that is what happens when your not safe. I am still with their father, for some reason. Things can be tough at times, but we always manage to get through it. Life would've been easier if I waited, but that isn't what happend. I love my kids to pieces, and I do the best I can for them. They make me a better and stronger person.
