I'm 22 years old I work 2 part time jobs and go to school full time I have a 3 year old daughter and I'm engaged. Lately I've been feeling like I should Actually trying to look good and dress nicer Normally I'll just wear jeans every other T-shirt or sweats and a tank top I were what ever I have (nothing Slutty you know clothes that show way to much skin) even before I because a mom I dressed the way I do now. But just recently my Fiancé wanted to take me out to dinner to celebrate Our anniversary and I tryed to get all dressed up with the clothes I already owned and some lady told me that I looked like I was an old lady trying to hard to look good so my questen is what is a 22 year old mom Supposed to wear and how I'm supposed to dress like?

I'm 23 a mom of a one yr old daughter as well as 4 beautiful step children. I struggled recently with this as well. I love yoga pants, tanks, and flip flops. But I wanted to start dressing more PTA type mom and not so much like a teenager haha. But I struggled because I still wanted to feel sexy . I made a rule that I have to dress up atleast 4 days out of the week. Even if I wasn't going anywhere that day, I still had to get dressed up. (Hair, make-up, cute outfit... etc..) It made me feel so good. Plus when you keep that little black dress to through on for special occasion it surprises your man. He knows your beautiful because he's with you but he stills wants that element of sex appeal. And as far as dressing now I wear my jeans alittle higher waisted and not so low rise but i always mix it up with adorable shirts. You are a mom but you still deserve feel sexy in anything you wear. Being younger moms we do still struggle with with wanting to feel young and sexy like were 22 lol Hope this helps :)

I would recommend the online course Dressing Your Truth, by Carol Tuttle. She has a free basic course (which can segue into the for cost course, or you can just stick to the free material- I learned plenty from the free one). It will help you choose colours, textures, silhouette lines, and patterns that best suit you as an individual- and show you what you should personally avoid and why. Because my trendy look and your trendy dressy look are not going to be the same. I understand your bewilderment- its easier to just "find the right uniform". But its a good investment to learn how to buy clothes that you LOVE.

I am a 23 year old mother and professional. I shop at stores such as maurices, suzy shier and reitmans. I am from Canada so if you don't already have an idea of those stores feel free to google them and see what clothes they sell.

Young, professional and hip. For example, the other day I wore a pair of mint skinny jeans with a blazer and printed dress shirt underneath. Along with a pair of cute red flats and some fashion-forward jewelery.

What 1 22yo wears is completely different to the next. Like Jodi said, wear what you are comfortable with.
If you want something on hand that is a bit dressier then get a tunic dress and some leggings with boots. Even a maxi dress and some strappy heels works well. These are a couple of thing you can have in your wardrobe for a last minute dinner out.

However you like. Honestly, why do you care what one person said to you? Wear whatever you feel comfortable wearing. There is no one way a 22 year old mother "should" dress.
