I was honest with my husband from the start. The very day we met I told him I had a baby. If you want to know for sure how they feel about kids, tell them before the first date. If they still ask you out, then you know it's OK. If they don't, then your better off with out him. Good luck

I met my current husband through an online dating site :) I just took a LOT of precautions, including getting to know him online and on the phone before I met him. He actually lived about 5 minutes down the road from me for the 6 months we communicated before we finally met each other. He had kids too, so we were both being cautious. 2 years after finally meeting each other, we married!!
I'm not saying this is the ideal situation for everyone, but online dating can work for some people. Yes, I had to weed through a few idiots before I found anyone even WORTH dating more than once, but I didn't mind, it was an interesting experience.

I wouldn't suggest singles groups, or any group designed for meeting potential partners/dates.
Men who hook up with women in these groups are looking for woman who are emotionally vulnerable/sexually frustrated...these men are a waste of your time
I would suggest taking a course you are interested in like an art, writing or yoga class. Meeting people in this atmosphere increases the chances that you'll meet people worth dating
