make sure you are watching what you are eating as welly. just b/c you are working out you still have to be very mindful of your calorie intake.

Hi Heather,I tried many silly diets after I had my little girl and got back down to pre baby weight, but I made myself poorly, came off the diet and weeks later put all the weight back on and more. I have now joined a slimming club and you get loads of support, I'm eating really well and instead of the boring gym I have started pole dancing I have never felt so good in my life. good luck with your weight losing and do it safely x

Sounds like you're doing the hard work by going to the gym three times a week! I did the same thing with my first son and only got fair results. However, when I cut out soda, or limited myself to 1 a day, and started carrying around a Nalgene bottle of water my body started "shaping" back up. I made sure I drank 2 full bottles of water a day. Hope it helps for you!

I work out as part of play time with my baby. I got this awesome Baby and me pilates/yoga video at my baby shower. Its about a 30 minute workout that incorporates baby as part of the exercises, so you can play with baby and exercise too! This doesn't take the place of a good gym workout and a healthy diet (LOL with a baby running around), but it helps with maintenance on the days you don't get to the gym.

Heather,

Are you breastfeeding? Because I have an 8-month old baby girl, and although I am back to my pre-pregnancy weight, i don't like the way I look. I was told by others that sometimes it can take up to a year or more for your body to go back to the way it was previously, and sometimes even if your weight is down to "normal" that your body has changed and will never look the same. (And not in a negative way...) I wouldn't get discouraged... Remember, it took us 9+ months to deliver our babies, it may take that long, if not longer to lose it all!
