Huggies vs Pampers vs Stored Brand

[deleted account] ( 121 moms have responded )

Hi, I was just wondering what kind of disposable diapers work(ed) for you? I HATE pampers, my daughter pees right through them. I prefer Huggies or Costco brand. my sister-in-law only uses pampers.

My daughter is allergic to Pampers. I LOVE Huggies Supremes!!!!! NO leaks and not a single rash!!! I have not tried any other brands, I don't want to risk having her be allergic to them.

I found that Pampers Swaddlers worked really well for me, but I'm also a big fan of an eco-friendly brand called Nature Babycare. Here's the link: http://www.naty.com/us/Products/tabid/12...

You will notice that they feel a little bit more papery than other brands do, but I've never had a leak of any kind with them, and they don't agitate my daughter's skin at all. Hope this is helpful!

We used Pampers Swaddlers until our daughter was 7 months old. She would have some leaks. We switched to cloth diapers (Flip and BumGenius) and couldn't be happier. We are already saving money!

I dont like huggies, my daughter leaked right through them. I use from Babies R Us, fisher price diapers, I absolutely love them! We buy the box, and you get day time diapers and overnight diapers. I wont use any other kind for her.

Well since we dont make much money we buy Parents Choice from Walmart (which is store brand) But if you make alot of money then I think you should go with Huggies :)

Huggies for me at this stage. My daughter is 12 weeks tomorrow and although the sizing stresses me out, they've been good for the most part.

When my daughter was first born, we used the pampers swaddlers cause she was a tiny bby and the huggies swallowed her. Since she has been in a size one, we use huggies or costco. They seem to work the best. She doesn't like to have a wet diaper so as soon as she pee's, i gotta change her. But I do like the huggies the best.

I personally think all the nappies are pretty naff! My little boy goes right through pampers and huggies, weve tried even a size bigger but they are even worse, and he has had allergic reactions to own brands. I have found that Pampers night-time pull-ups are fantastic! They are slightly on the expensive side in comparison to nappies but they dont seem to leak and they hold more. My son is nearly 11 months old, but these pull-ups can be used from 19lbs in weight.

I used to use the the Albertson's brand and loved them. But being back in NJ I can't get them. So I prefer huggies. The pampers gave my 2 y/o a rash and they leaked bad for my infant. I am currently trying the walmart brand - and dont like them at all. Once these are gone it will be back to huggies for us here.

i discovered that the store brand that safeway/genaurdis carries "mom to mom" works really good..no leaks at all and a big box is only 13.00. plus genaurdis is literally across the street so thats a convenience too. :)

Huggies feel like construction paper in my opinion. I LOVE Pampers. However, Huggies wins for the best wipes award in my opinion. They are VERY moist and thick so I rarely use over 2 at each diaper change.

I think the coscto brand beats all... I have tried huggies and pampers and I think kirkland is the best. My son pees alot and the only one that holds all of it is kirkland!

I'm not a fan of store brand diapers. Huggies never worked for me, The way they fit made them leak. Pampers have never done me wrong, I compared them to Luvs & they're like the exact same thing! I'v tried everything on my two kids & Luvs have always worked. Same as pampers just cheaper!

I use whatever is on sale- I havent found a difference in any of them really.. The Walmart brand isnt too great overnight, the KMart and Acme diapers are identical and the name brands are just too expensive considering my daughter is 3 months so I change her every 2 hours. With my oldest who is 6 now I only used Pampers because I was stuck up. It doesnt make a difference.!

I lovee Pampers. I tried store brand ones and they made my daughter break out in a rash, Huggies always leaked. On rare occasions when my daughter drinks to much in the evening she wakes up and that gel like stuff comes out thats only ever happend twice tho. I personaly LOVE Pampers Swaddlers, I would use them now but they only make up until size 2 :( So now I use Pampers 12 hour dry during the night and Pampers Cruisers during the day :)

Ive noticed on many occasions that my daughter does a number 2 and it goes through the nappy and they are pampers size 2. Would be nice to have one brand that don't leak everytime they go to the toilet.

I've used the storebrand ones like lovebaby, pampers snugglies etc and find that they leak through the night. The only kind i'll put on my son is Huggies-they filt well (they have a natural curve thing in them),and don't leak throught the night but each mum is different.

Pampers all the way! I tried Huggies on my son and I found during a diaper change he always had little bits of gel (kinda looked like clear sand) left all over his bum. I also gave the Costco Kirkland brand a try and they too did the same besides I found both to be a bit rough. Pampers are so soft, never had a leak and none of that gel left behind.

Since Liam is my 4th and it had been 8yrs since my daughter, my mom threw me a diaper shower. SO I got ALL kinds of diffrent brands...

Wal-Mart brand- I used them on my other 3 but since then I have changed my view,,,,Awful, my son pees so much, he leaked all over the place...didn't care for them at all.

Huggies- I liked the way they fit my chunky monkey lol :) Also I get Coupon's in the mail....(got to save when you have 4 kids) My daughter is always saying, "he needs his diaper changed" do too how the diaper looks in the front, pouchy :)

Pampers: I am using them at the moment, (Had a coupon) don't care for them...not sure why, they are just gooshy feeling to me after one pee???

LUVS- My little guy broke out, in the area right above his privates and around the legs...I am guessing it was the type of elastic or material...so it is safe to say we wont be using them any longer :)

Not sure about any other brands, we live in a small town so the closest store is Wally world :) Hope this helps

P.S. I breastfeed and NONE of the diapers has been able to keep the yellowish orange poop from coming up his back and out of the diaper.....ALL the brands I have used so far does this!! IT doesn't matter if he is laying down, (belly or back) in his bouncy or in the carseat....It NEVER Fails lol :) Extra onsies, extra outfits....all the time :D Gotta love being a mom!!!

I started off with Pampers & Huggies. Can't stand because when my son got wet, they got bulky and sagged. Then I tried Luvs...Great. But I'm a True fan of Especially for Baby, the Toys R Us brand. Very inexpensive and fit my thick leg daughter very well.

and then there's wipes!!! I've tried the cheaper brands, but end up using twice as many! They're so thin. definitely worth the extra couple bucks for the brand names.
