I wasn't sure where to post this, but yesterday I had a TERRIBLE experience on thebump.com! I don't want to whine and talk about how horribly I was treated, but I wanted to find out if any of you other moms have experienced the mean and rude remarks from other expecting moms on thebump.com. I've had NOTHING but great responses and feedback on this site, but I was really shocked at how hurtful some people can be on the other site!
I'd be glad to share the post if anyone's interested, but this is more of a "has this happened to you" post. LOL

Nice to know I'm not the only one! It sucks that people can be so mean.
@Jessica Norris: I managed a tanning salon for over a year and I am a HUGE advocate for tanning! PLUS, tanning doesn't actually even do ANYTHING to the baby! They recommend NOT tanning because your hormones are out of whack (which can make you burn easier) and the chance of overheating is higher! I'm sorry they flamed you like that!!

I'm glad there are people here that will support me! :)

I have been flamed on there before. I deleted my account after it happened because I felt I was treated unfairly. Even when I clearly said there was no need for name calling or nasty words, they just called me a baby and flamed me harder. I was actually afraid of joining COM because I was worried that all sites of that kind would be the same. I'm sorry that you had to deal with that, too. Not all Momma's are respectful, it's a shame. That will carry over to their children, which is even worse.

For tanning?!? OMG people do much more harmful things such as smoking and drinking before they find out they are pregnant!! People are just rude!

OMG, yes! I was torn apart for haing tanned before I knew I was pregnant. On how I was a bad person for even tanning at all, preg or not! I felt I had confidantes with these girls, and that was sooooo hurtful! Mean Girls!

I also feel like the girls on the bump can be mean and rude. I haven't had anyone say anything specifically to me but have seen them flame people for other things that really shouldn't deserve the comments. So far I feel like the women on this site are much more respectful. I would read the post!
