I feels like a baby in my belly but I never had sex?????

For the past few weeks I've been feeling little 'movements' in my abdomen. I feels like when I was pregnant and the baby would move. Ive felt it at least 2 dozen times. I don't know what I'm feeling. Could I really be pregnant??? I haven't had anything close to sex in the past year. I did live with my ex until nov. I haven't had a period since I got pregnant with my now 2 year old. And have an IUD birth control. But I'm baffled at what these little movements could be? I would feel so retarded to go out and buy a pregnancy test. And feel ridiculous even posting this question but I need some opinions.

Alexandra, I heard that breastfeeding doesn't keep you from getting pregnant. That's an old wives' tale.

Wow! I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling this! I get those feelings too, and the pregnancy tests have been negative. Yeah, take a test to put your mind at ease. Also, are you breastfeeding? My midwife said that breastfeeding often keeps your period at bay.

I get them all the time aswell and I can't possibly be pregnant as I've had a hysterctomy. I think they're just natural, I used to always think I was pregnant even though I was on birth control I actually spent loads of money on pregnany tests and I was never pregnant lol.

little muscle spasms probably. or gas. sometimes when i have gas it feels like when a baby first starts kicking. i would go see your OB just to make sure the iud is still in place. they'll just do an ultrasound. No big deal. That is rather odd, though.... Definately.. get it checked out. Sometimes the iud can thin your uteran wall too much and it can fall through that weak spot and just float around in your body cavity and scratch up you other organs. surgery is needed to remove it if that happens. that's what i'm most afraid of.

I get those stupid spasms all day long!!! I have a paraguard IUD and I wonder too....I buy the pregnancy tests in the twin-packs because I'm high risk to begin with and got pregnant 4 months after my son was born even though I was nursing exclusively!!! Isn't the body marvelous and strange at the same time? It's so annoying to be this paranoid all the time though lol.

I haven't read all of the responses so I don't know if anyone has mentioned this. I have them too, I am having them right now, I think I went through about 10 pregnancy tests before I went to see my doctor. He said it is a muscle spasm, have you ever had a twitch in your eye? similar to that but usually in your intestines, I thought I was going mad too!

It has been 7 months since I have had my daughter and I SWEAR ON EVERYTHING I KNOW AS A MOTHER I AM PREGNANT lol but time and time again I am not lol but i think its a matter of your muscles and organs going back into place and positioning them selfs as close to normal as possible.

I feel them to, I thought we probably had these feelings before we were pregnant, just never paid any attention to them, after our children were born we now no what it feels like to have a baby kicking inside, and automatically think that its a baby.

I have totally had that happenning to me! Talk about a thing to make a girl feel paranoid! I just finally decided they must just be gas pains or muscle spasms. It probably happened before I was ever pregnant but I just notice it more now since it feels like it did when my son kicked and moved around.

Haha! I thought I was going crazy! I get them as well!! I have a 3yr old and an 8 month old. I had them a few times after my first son was born and I didn't have an IUD. I have one now and I still feel them. They are very similar to the movements I felt when I was 4-5 months pregnant!

Yeah, I found out in November that I have polycystic ovaries. I get those feelings sometimes too. It's good to know I'm not totally crazy. I know there's no way I could be pregnant again. I was told my chances of having a second one are extremely slim and I haven't had sex since my daughter was 9 months old and I left her father. I got a divorce when she was 21 months old. My daughter's 4 1/2 BTW.

Davine, I have an IUD and I have the same exact feeling from time to time. I told my husband that it feels just like the flutters of a little baby and laughed and said "that thing better work as much as we paid to have it put in, you better not be feeling a baby" . I always just figured it was gas as well. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Never thought too much about it though because like you, I knew I wasn't pregnant, or I better not be, that would be a HUGE SHOCK!!

i just had this happen to me like last month.... i kept feeling a "movement" under my chest line dwn in my belly. i though have been having unprotected sex..... i have been under some stress. whats i lower my stress level and kept thinking about it. it went away... so maybe it is due to stress

Glad to know I'm not crazy. I had a c-section, but on no birth control whatsoever right now, and barely ever have sex. I think its just like shrinkage from when the baby stretched things out in there. My Laila is almost 10 months, and I still get them on a pretty regular basis. I always just wrote it off as gas, didn't know there were others!

ha, well, actually, its normal to have 'phantom movement' where you THINK you feel movement, however, there is nothing really there.

take a pregnancy test, and with an IUD it is normal, and very plausable to not have a period for long times.

only sure way to tell is a pregnancy test . (:

its not muscle spasms or gas or any of that they are called phantom kicks and they are very normal and extremely common. i go through phases where i well have them regularly for days and months with nothing...dont worry ur not prego!

Gas bubbles. I get them all the time. My son is 2.5yrs and my daughter is 9 months and when she was 3 months old i fell pregnant again but lost it within 2 weeks of finding out and i get movements now all the time as well. My Dr says it's gas and your muscles trying to work their way back to the original size. A girl i worked with, says to this day her gas feels like baby's moving...and her kids are 20 and 23yrs old lol. If you know you haven't had sex, don't waste your money on a test. Yes it's the only true way to know but you already know...

I am SO glad that someone else has these too!! I have spent half of the last four years of my life pregnant and thought it was just "my imagination" but you can physically feel the movements with you hand on your belly! I have actually taken pregnancy tests just to make sure lol I am not on any form of birth control but we do use spermicidal foam every time. So I don't think it's from the form of BC that is being used, or I wouldn't have them!

I just recently gave birth to my first child and she 4 1/2 months now and I too have started to notice that I have those same flutter feelings mostly at night and I am scared too but I used condoms with my fiance so I really dont think I am pregers again. I really thought I was the only one and was starting to freak out. But if aunt flow dont visit this month I will be peeing ALL over that. LOL I dont used a IUD just condoms so it must be my phantom baby. lol

I am TTC so it only messed with my emotions and i went to the dr. and he said it's muscle spasms and is VERY common if you have had a baby before which we have, so no worries you are fine!

i have had those weird movements too and i too have the IUD, i think the post about having to take 2yrs for everyting inside to get back to normal is right. my daughter is a little over 10mnths and i still feel it, not as strong as when i was carrying her tho. i freaked out too at first and kept thinkin my mind was making it up..lol glad to kno im not crazzy..lol
