I have a friend that's 3 month old baby won't drink any formula. She has to trick her constantly to drink her milk. So she's been giving her pedialyte. Is this bad? I feel that it is. She's a young mom, I want to help her.

There is a good chance this child has some sort of allergy or intolerance to the formula mom is giving her and so won't drink it, my son was the same way encourage your friend to try a new formula made with a different base it may just make the difference.

Well it's not the best option because she could choke, but it's not the worst. At least she's not putting cereal in her bottle! I hate when people do that. I've heard of doctors recommending pedialyte to babies who are dehydrated so it's really ok.
