I'm really worried because I get excrutiating pain already and my doctor thinks I may just be carrying him more in my back but any pointers to help the pain would be great!!!

Cat-Cow stretches helped me a lot. Rest on all fours with a neutral back (flat like a table). Slowly inhale while arching your back and bringing your gaze upward. Hold for a moment and exhale while curling your spine, tucking your tailbone, and bringing your gaze toward your tummy. Slowly repeat five times, several times per day.

No matter what you do you have to make sure that if you use heat, that it does not raise your core body temp, as that could harm the baby. My doctor told me to use a heating pad (not directly on the skin), on low heat, for no longer than 10-15 minutes at a time.

I agree with Shaquansia, take warm baths but not hot. Usually when my back hurt, it was when I was doing too much or when I was sitting or sleeping, I didn't have enough support in my back. Hope this helps :-)

Try using a heating pad, and do not lay directly on your back! Laying on your back can smoosh your veins and decrease your blood flow, causing your baby to get decreased oxygen! I would always go to sleep on my side and wake up on my back and freak out. Lol. Just try warm baths and applying heating pads, and take it easy! Prop your feet up and relax!

Hi Katie
You can take warm not hot bathes!! Also while your seating keep your feet propped up and put a comfortable pillow behind your back...Another good tip get your spouse to rub it out that really helps ;-)
