So i currently have been getting heartburn in my pregnancy.. and i'm wondering if it is common to have it during pregnancy. also, if you had it during your pregnancy was there anything you could do for it and what did you do? I really hope someone can help me...

Heart is totally common. lol. Tried tums...but sometimes certain foods would trigger it...or juices. You could try plain crackers to help with heart burn to.

Hey mother-of-two here! I can totally relate to the bad heartburn. I had it with both pregnancies but only at night. Sitting upright really helped. I had to cut out a lot of dairy because that was causing my heartburn. Some women have different affects on drinking milk. Sometimes it makes heartburn better, other times it makes it worse. Try to cut out any fried/greasy foods. And avoid any fizzy/soda drinks. For your baby's sake, try to avoid taking any drugs.

With both of my kids 2 year old boy and an 11 month old girl. With both of them i was put on Zantac over the counter.. ( I kept telling my dr to fix it) I was really really sick with my second one my daughter.. So talk it over with your doctor and see what they say.. Otherwise you can talk to the pharmacy people and they to can help you.. ( I was always asking my doctor and the pharmacy people things bout meds... With my daughter it was a rough one.. She made me very very sick.. ( I even got the chicken pox with her.. so i was 22 years old and 32 weeks prego had then for the first time in my life) So talk it over... Hope was helpful...

its very common.. when i was pregnant i always had heartburn. day and night. i found out that drinking a cold glass of milk slowly helped alot. i have never took anything for heartburn. just drank milk.. try it, it might work.

i had heartburn thruout my entire pregnancy and pretty much lived off Tums. taking them before meals helped alot. if it seems to not work for you, you should ask your doctor if they can prescribe something else that can be more effective or longer lasting.

Yes it is very common, it depends on where you are. Im in australia and they have stuff you can take that is safe during pregnancy, but for me it just made me vomit more then i already was. They also say if you can avoid very sugary and spicy foods, and if you can sleep in a semi sitting position it may help. its didnt for me, but its worth a try. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and arrival of your LO :)
