I want to do something with my life. I cant decide on what i want to do. I love animals and it would be awesome to become an animal cop, but i also think that it would be cool to be a nurse. i cant decide. i dont have the money to go to school and i dont have the money to put my son through daycare to go to school. i am lost!! i need help. any moms in or were in this situation? any ideas on what i could do

hiya, i know wat its like, i had to leave high school due to blackouts then fell pregnant, i couldnt afford to study and wat i wanted to do involved me having atleast yr 12. i have only just started studying again to become an art teacher and i have my 2nd little one who is 10 months. i looked around for cheap day cares or a family members to watch her. i also done free short course to get into what i wanted. an option for what you want to do maybe seeing if you could volunteer for a while at one of those areas and take that with you to either try and get an apprenticeship or scholarship. if your lucky maybe the people will offer you a job

I am a young mom (23) and have a busy 1 year old. I run a home daycare in order to put myself through school. I dropped out of HS when I was 17 and worked full time as a vet assistant, but when I met my DH who is in the military, we moved away from my job of 7 years! I worked an admin job for almost 3 years and just recently quit to be home wiht my little guy full time and my husband went back to work off parental (I worked from 6months on after DH got back from Afghanistan).

So now I pay $40/course to finish my highschool diploma (Canadian - Ontario province) and I do it on my own time. I have 10 months to finish my course, at which once I pass I can start a new course (I need 4 credits). After I receive my HS Diploma, I am joining the army as a medical technician and am lucky to have a supportive husband and friends to help me reach my goal.

You'll be exhausted cramming all night long and caring for your children during the day, but the outcome will be worth it. Good luck!

I'm sort of in the same position as you are. There are grants and scholarships for young moms all around. Some colleges offer a ged program, where you go in and take classes to get it for free. Some also provide free daycare. If you enroll for school, it'd be in the long run, better for you to become a CNA then a nurse, because from there on you can work on up to a doctor if you'd like. Where I live CNA's start out at almost $15 an hour. Our RN's start out at $28.45. It's a hard choice when you have to worry about more than just yourself. I hope that this info helps you out.
