Devin is 18 months old. We do dinner, let him play for about an hour with his toys, then bath time and pjs. That normally happens at around 730-800. Then we put him to bed with his favorite teddy bear, dog and blanket. After that we leave the room. He SCREAMS at the top of his lungs for a long time before he finally goes to sleep 2 hours later. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to get him to calmly go to sleep at night? Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Oh Goodness...my son did the same thing. Went through this awful stage where he did NOT want to be away from mommy and daddy. The doc told us to let him throw a fit for a while, but go in every once in a while to check on him to make sure there wasn't another reason for his crying, other than wanting someone with him. Let him know that you're still there, and comfort him without picking him up, getting him out...etc.

Not sure how well this will help out, because you've probably already tried it. We've gone through it TWICE now, only this time he would get out of bed, kick the door, and raise hell til we came back. Have no clue how we even broke him of if this time - he just...stopped.

Try to look on the bright side - soon he'll be a teenager and might not want as much time with you then as he does now lol - that's how I got through it.
