Hey Ladies ! I am in need of some sugguests, comments, ideas, and such I am having my first girl in early Apr. maybe late Mar. We have a few names we like but we would like peoples opinion and some more ideas, here are the names; Isabella(Bella as a nickname), Jessica(Jessa,Jessie), Annabell(e)(a) (Anna),Marissa, Marley. Now the middle names will be Lorna May (or the other way around) (my husbands lete mother). My other childern's names are (all boys) Liam, Erik, Brodie, Brayden. And this lil'girl's daddy his real manly man(hunter , Mr.fix it, hockey guy, mechanic) and we are thinking that there is a good possibility that she will be somewhat of a tomboy,so we are kinnda looking for such names that could "fill that shoe " if need be, but at the same time is feminane seeing as she is my only girl .Now we were also looking for some ideas my husbands brother (only) passed when he was very young and his name was Steven James and we were trying to see if we could somehow incorprate (if possible) in her name (other than Stephine) which is in my opinion maybe alittle impossbile but if anyone has any ideas I would live to hear them.
Thanks a bunch and I look forward to all your responses !! :)

What about Emaly, Jaylin, Ava, Morgan....I also do like Isabella, LoreLei, Chloe...but even though James is usually a boys name use James as the little girls middle name!!! I knew a young girl whose name was Charlie!!! I think that James would be a very nice middle name for a young girl and it has a meaning too!!!! Or you could do Jamie if you don't like James!!!

How about Madelaine (my name) I've always really liked it. It's easy to pronounce but not too common. I also really like the name Brenna or Brynn and I think either of those would be cute for a little tomboy. Congratulations!! Enjoy your little baby girl!!

I love the name Isabella and I really like Marley. For the girl name that somewhat incorporates steven james could be Stacia or Stella. :) Congrats on the baby girl!

honestly, in my opinion the best girls names are english/british or irish boy names. my daughter's name is kynlie eryn...from kenley or kinley -- english for "king of the meadow" & erin, which contrary to popular believe is the irish/celtic spelling of the traditional spelling aaron & is a boys name...not a girls name. i am a huge fan of alternate spellings too.

Well my daughters name is Audrey Elizabeth :) My hubby's the same way, very typical mans man and I was always tom boyish growing up but so far she is the girliest girl! Loves dresses and jewlery and shoes. lol. So don't worry about the name fitting a tom boy, I think that when you see the baby something will just fit :)
As for a girls name similar to Steven maybe Stephana or Stevieana, and for James, Jamie is pretty unisex and you can change up the spelling :)

Well,
Jamie For James is one Idea. it is a girl and a boy name.
Evelynn (EVE) for Steven. That one is my daughters middle name. She was named after her grandfather named Steven. and Lynn is from me.
Morgan is a boy, girl name.
hope that gives you some ideas..

I like the name Marissa. Another beautiful name that I like is Kaydence, it seems to have that perfect blend of uncommon name, sweetness, yet strenght. A good way to commemorrate your husbands brother could be done with the names Jamie, or even Stephanie(as another way to spell Steven can be as follows: Stephen) Crongratulations and wishing you the best of luck!

I have 2 girls and I'm expecting my 3rd anyday now, we named our Oldest daughter Brianna Renee. Brianna means Strong and Renee meand beyond value, our second child is Maeghan Rose. Maeghan means soft and gentle and Rose means flower. this next child will be named Elana Grace Elana means Light and Grace means Graceful I also have 2 older boys Samuel Raymond and Sean Xavier. During all of my pregnancies I've tried to find names that had special meaning. With Brianna we chose that simply because with 2 older bros she was gonna have to be strong. With Maeghan we thought she was our last and wanted to use family names. Rose was a family name from both sides the Mae came from my husbands grandmother. it was her middle name. While I was preggy with her she was very easy going didn't really kick or move around alot. Sure enough she is the "perfect" baby if their is such a thing. easy going not too much trouble very happy. with this baby she's the light at the end of the tunnel of babyhood for me :) also she's my 5th child and Instead of praying for patience with each of my children I prayed for grace. 5 is the # of Grace in the Bible. so I unwittingly prayed for her. The most important thing is finding a name that suits her and your family Have you considered using the Lorna May as her name?

Maybe you could go with a unisex name like Taylor, Jaime, Parker, Adrianne, or Cameron.

I'd considered Piper for a girls name when I got pregnant, and thats not too far off from being tomboyish.

I really enjoy unisex names, and would love to use one later if I have a girl,( I'm having a boy this time) but instead have decided on Ryli for a girls name.

Maybe you could even use that! Riley, Rylie, Rylee, whatever.

So overall i'm thinking:

Taylor

Jaime

Parker

Adrianne

Cameron

Piper

Riley (in all variations)

Hope this helps!

I like Annabelle, it could be shortened to Bella or Issy. The name Alexis is also a good name, it could be shortened to Lexi or just Lex if she's a tomboy. As far as using Steven James she could be a Jenny, but that is a little girly for a tomboy, or Jamie for a girl it's close to James and because it can be a boy or a girls names it should work for a tomboy as well. Good luck

I named my daughter Alexa (We sometimes call her Lexi for a nickname) her middle name is marie, which is pretty feminine. But I also really liked the names Kylie and Aubrey (Which both i believe could work with a tom boy or a girly girl. So either way she would be set.) You could also always go with the name Jaymee. Which again could be girly or a tomboy....and that would pull in your brother in-laws middle name :) hope it helps. Congrats on the little girl!

I like Jessica, but be prepared for your child to always be hearing her name. My best friend in high school name was Jessica, and there was like ten others in my graduating class. My daughters name is Summer. I really love that name, just make sure if you were to pick that name that you don't try to be all earth hippish. Someone thought if i named her Summer her middle name would be cute as Eve. Not so cute naming your daughter after a douche.
