My 11week old son just started not having a bowel movement everyday. Sometimes it goes for like 5 days. What should I be doing???

up to 10 days with no bowel movement is perfectly normal for a breastfed baby. Only if he's formula fed would I be too worried about it...

Yes. My doc said even a week is normal! He went three days w/o one and I got scared and called. She said it's fine. Give him prunes if you're really worried. Works like a charm, and again, and again.. do it when you don't have anyplace to go.

Just be careful and watch for Jaundice. Bowel movements are how your baby gets rid of the excess bilirubin. If you are concerned, just call your pediatrician. They are there to help.

its ok if he is breastfeed. that happened to my daughter when i was breastfeeding her. the doctor told me its ok just as long as it deosnt go longer than a week. the reason they dont poop everyday is because the body absorbs soo much of the breast milk there isnt alot to waste. so if he doesnt poop after 7 days then take him to the doctor

Its normal.. sometimes breastfed babies absorb everything they eat from you where they do not have anything left to get rid of.. does that make sense? I would say if the baby seems constipated or has any discomfort.. call your pediatrician and see about remedies that you can do, otherwise I was told by my ped. that it is quite normal.

It's perfectly normal. There isn't a lot of waste in breastmilk since it's nature's perfect baby food. My ped says if baby hasn't pooped in 10 days you can be concerned.
