You really should talk to your doctor about it, and if you feel stongly about this and the doctor says, "oh it will go away" I would say go to a different doctor, mine never just "went away" I had to go to therapy before I even started to feel better....

my blues lasted for the first three months or so then returned when we had to unexpectedly stop breast feedeing (we had been doing amazing but my supply dried up within a week after one of her growth spurts). you justed asked for on her, why not somewhere else too. i constantly felt like my man was only making things worse, he didn't get it. but really dont get too mad at your husband its only because he has no idea what he's talking about ;)

I've been there. With my second my baby blues didn't go away after a week or two they lasted. Are you having any of these symptoms?

Loss of appetite

Insomnia

Intense irritability and anger

Overwhelming fatigue

Loss of interest in sex

Lack of joy in life

Feelings of shame, guilt or inadequacy

Severe mood swing

Difficulty bonding with the baby

Withdrawal from family and friends

Thoughts of harming yourself or the baby

If you are having some of them you might have postpartum depression. It's treatable you can feel better talk to your doctor. They have medicine you can take if your breastfeeding. I had postpartum depression I took anti-depressants for 2 months and it got so much better. I didn't want to say I was having trouble it made feel like a failure but I did it so I could be a better mom and wife and I'm so happy I did. Please talk with your doctor.

I am a first time mom but i know with my daughter i had the blues for almost a year after having her. I told my doctor and she said it was normal and would go away. I use to go in my daughters room and just look at her and start balling. I know this is probably not helpful but it was my experience.
