Yes, natural birth is as painful as it seems. But, I've had two kids this way. I heard all the stories of epidural and other pain killers used during labor and didn't want that. I had a birthing coach.

I was alert and ready to hold my children after they were born.

My husband thinks that having them naturally contributed to a shorter delivery time. I was in labor with my first child for two hours and my second was born with 45 minutes of labor.

Both of my children were over eight pounds.

I am not going to lie, Yes!! But after the baby was out I had no more pain and it was a big relief...I do not know you but I am sure you are a trooper, so don't be too afraid and always keep confidence in yourself that you can do this!

My son was six weeks early when he was born and weighed 5 lbs 6 oz so he was tiny. I went into it wanting every drug imaginable to help me with the "pain" of having a child. I went into labor so fast that I wasn't given the option for an epideral or any other help with my pregnancy and if I had to do it all over again I would definately not have any pain medicine. My son was small but honestly it just felt like a lot of presure and then a little burning sensation because I tore. But just a few hours later I was up walking around and felt pretty normal. My sister did not have a natural birth and it took her a lot longer to be able to get out of bed and move around. But I also think it is up to the individual, I thought it was going to be horrible and I was completly horrified of not being able to have "drugs" because i am so weak when it come to pain but in the end I was so happy it ended the way it did. If he was a 9 or 10 lb baby it might have been a whole different story!!!
