I'd check for new teeth. It sounds like she's trying to sleep it off. It wouldn't hurt to have the doctor check her out though.

my son does that when hes teething and hes two but if it doesnt get any better take her to the doctor. I hope she feels better soon

Hey Robyn, I just want to say that little ones go through spurts where they want to sleep more than what we're used to. I've read all of the responses to your question, and most of them are teetering on hypochondria. You said that she's 13 months, so it most likely is a combination of teething and growth spurt. Figure that she's going through both at the same time, she's going to be that much more tired and clingy. The vomit may have been a fluke- maybe the juice curtled the milk already in her tummy. If she only got sick once, I wouldn't worry too much about it. I hope she feels better soon. You know her best, do what you feel is right for her.

my 5 month old went through this this week. she was fussy, threw up then was running a low grade fever. She wanted to sleep. I fed her and gave her some tylenol and let her sleep. after 2 hrs the fever had went up but not severely to extremes. I called the drs office and they said the watch her. She went to sleep that night an slept from 6:30 until 8:30 the next morning when I finally woke her up. we checked her through out the night and she was breathing and moving when touched. Sometimes with a virus they just have to sleep it off and let the virus run its course. I would probably call the drs office and talk to a nurse and let them evaluate her over the phone. They could tell you whether to bring her in our not. NEVER underestimate your gut feelings. If you think something is wrong, REGARDLESS of showing signs or symptoms or what others may say. FOLLOW YOUR GUT!! You know your child better than any dr or nurse or even another parent. Best of luck! I hope it all turns out well for you.

It could be that she is teething or that she is getting something. Your best bet is to take her to the doctor. My 2 year old son gets like that everytime he gets sick. But usually he has a fever. What kind of thermometer are you using?

My daughter acted like that when she had bronchitis. I would say that you should take the baby to a doctor... and if you have... update us and let us know what happened.

If you are worried enough to ask I would take her to the doctor, children can go down hill really fast. In the mean time keep up her fluids so she doesn't get dehydrated.

More than likely she has caught a stomach virus. If so it will have to run its course. Keep her hydrated.

Antibiotics dont work for virus's my daughter had a virus not to long ago and they say "wait it out"

I'd make a doctors appt. It sounds like a virus or something. She may need antibiotics.

My daughter went through those same symptoms about 5 times since shes been born and shes 26 months. It was usually if she was teething or drinking to much milk. Call the doctor and talk to a nurse. As long as she is still going to the bathroom then they most likely will tell you to wait a little while and make sure she doesnt get worse. Its probably the teething tho but always call the doc to talk to a nurse.

could be teething, could be an ear infection, could be a growth spurt, could be the flu, could be a food allergy. I know that's quite the list, but toddlers are funny about the way they show symptoms. but it's better to be safe than sorry! maybe call the nurse hotline?

definitely call your doc. but it kinda sounds like she might be cutting more teeth. My son gets like that and all he wants to do is cuddle.

It sound like she is either teething or sick. try putting oragel or teething tablets with a little baby tylenol and see if that helps if not i would call her dr and schedule her an appointment as soon as they have an opening. better safe then sorry

is she teething? my son had a fever when his top and bottom teeth came in and he was also tired. that may be it. just monitor her for a couple of days and if she dosen't get better or u don't notice that she's getting teeth then call your doc. good luck :)

If you are worried take her to the drs. The worst that can happen is you get told your over reacting but I think thats part of being a good mum... I get days where I just feel like reassurance so I take my baby to the drs. I have made plenty of unnessesary trips but atleast it put me at ease. My daughter gets days when she just wants to sleep and feels warm but it happens when shes getting more teeth.

I would at least call the doctor and see what he/she says. They might tell you to try something and if that doesn't work to bring her in. If your really worried take her in, better to over react then under react! Good luck and I hope she feels better!

Sometimes the summer weather can do that...and/or maybe she is going through a growth spurt. But to be safe I would check with her doctor.

Trust your mommy self. If you think she needs to go to the doctor take her! If she really is okay after Dr check up - talk to the doctor about "warning signs" of when to bring her in. Pediatricians know that 75% of their job is reassuring nervous new moms. :) I have never regretting "bothering" the Dr

My son did that during a growth spurt and when hes teething.. but i think you should either take her in or talk to her dr just to make sure its not anything serious. Hope she gets better!

If your little one isn't acting like herself, and is throwing up, with or without a fever, take her to the Dr. It's better safe then sorry, and they can usually give you something to help her from vomiting and keep her hydrated. My son at 12 months started throwing up, had only a slight fever, and ended up in the hospital for a week with rotovirus.

Has she been in the sun lately? If so, she could just have sunstroke (it's not an actual stroke just overheated) She may be feeling a little dizzy because of this if the symptoms don't subside soon I'd go to the doctor and have her checked out.

It could be something simple like a growth spurt (no fever) teething (mild fever) or she could be sick. If she is still lethargic after 2 days and starts running a fever I would take her to the doc immediatly.

my daughter is 2 but i brought her to the doctors last month for the same symptoms, she had a stomache virus. they told me to just give her icepops and sip on water for the reest of the day. For the vomiting, they gave her half of a pill to stop it dont know the name of it. But a half hour later she was no longer vomiting.

Sounds like a growth spurt or teething to me. Did she vomit after she ate something, or do you think she might have stuck something in her mouth and gagged on it?

Call the doctor to get things checked out if this goes on for longer than a couple of days, but it sounds like she's just having some normal down days.

I would take her to the doctor just to make sure everything is ok. She could be teething or she could have an infection of some sort. You should definately make sure.

my daughter is always like that when she's growing - usually lasts between 3 days to a week! just keep an eye on her just in case she IS feeling poorly but i'd imagine she's growing..... ;-)

Trust your motherly instinct! if it is something that your really worried about visit your doctor. It is better to go and have it be nothing then not to go and find out it is something very serious.

It sounds like she is not feeling well. Maybe a growth spurt? I would just make sure to keep her hydrated. I would not worry too much about the fact that she does not want to eat. You know how it is when you're not feeling well...food is the last thing on your mind. If she is still acting the same way tomorrow I would have her seen by a Doctor. Good luck and best wishes! She might have the flu. I heard its going around again. Also if she was outside for a long time she might have heat exhaustion. If she still isn't feeling well by tomorrow I would make a doctor's appointment.

As long as there is no other symptems like a cough or a rash then I would let it go for another day. My son sometimes doesn't want to eat and takes longer naps some days then others. They are like us, sometimes were not that hungry and sometimes we are more tired than other days. She can be getting more teeth, or if the weather is too hot it can affect them.

maybe a stomach flu. my daughter went through it. the doctor said it just has to pass. give your daughter lots of water, (no juice: it'll give her diarrea) no dairy, or poultry... chicken soup and water...

My daughter will be two this year and she used to get that way when she was teething or anytime she gets a sudden growth spurt. When their little body goes through changes like that it takes a lot out of them sometimes they even run a fever. My doctor always says as long as any vomiting does not happen more than once or twice and any diarrhea does not last more than a day and the fever stays under 100 F and doesn't last more than a few hours even if it only breaks for a few and then comes back, chances are very good that its just teething. But at the same time my doctor also reminds me I am the mom and I know best. So remember that even if its just a sneeze and it doesn't seem right to you take her to the doctor, because maternal instinct is an amazing thing!

That happened to my son and he had pnemonia and the rsv virus.i had no idea. he acted the exact way for 2 days on the 2nd night he vomited and started a fever. the doc just kept telling me to just watch him but what made me realize was that he still had a fever in the middle of the day and hes always ran one at night. So that is when i took him. Just know that she may have a bacterial or virus infection and dont wait to long if she is running a fever cause she can dehydrate quicker. hope she feels better soon

i would just let her sleep and get some rest for a couple more days and if it doesnt stop call her doctor everyone feels a little under the weather some days

Have a doc see her. Two things come to mind: illness and SBS. The best person to see is a Dr. My oldest had hand,foot and mouth at that age and she acted like that and had a temp of 103F
