Do you still celebrate your birthday? Do you look after kids on your birthday or do you have someone who gives you a break?

How have birthdays changed for you since you had kids?

My birthday is right around Mother's Day, so I get my break that day and don't feel the need for another one. Well, nothing major anyways. If it was a weekend, I'd sleep in! Birthdays are family time to me anyways. It hasn't changed. My husband cooks me a nice dinner, gets me a couple small gifts and makes my birthday cake. He's made me the same one for the last nine years. :)

I guess when we were university students we'd also go out and get kind of drunk and then end up at one or the other's place later. I graduated six years ago though, so that change happened well before the little one came along.

actually, since my birthday's during school (September 21st), and my stepsister's is 6 days after me, we wait until the weekend and celebrate them both (which I really don't approve of, but my dad wants to make his wife happy, so whatever). next year, I'm going to bring my son along since all we really do is go out to dinner at a restaurant since my stepsister's under 21. I think the last time I actually went a celebrated just my birthday with just my friends was my 21st, but even then I cut the night short because I had a huge test the next day.

Of course birthdays have changed! My last birthday was my 21st and when I imagined my 21st I thought I was going to get really drunk, in reality we went out to dinner and then the boys aunt watched them and my boyfriend and I went to the bars for like two hours. But honestly I like how they've changed, I always love spending my birthday with them. Plus I'm not expected to go out which I don't really like to do anyways!

We do still celebrate birthdays but even before kids I bought my own present and wrote from Damo on it. We never have cake and stuff though. It's my husband's birthday today so I am getting him a cake for once. Once the kids have birthdays we might make a bigger deal.

Of course I still celebrate my birthday...I'm still human :) This past birthday our son stayed with his Grandma and my husband took me to a resort casino and we spent the night together. It was fun and much needed! :) Since my actually b-day fell on a Thursday this year I spent the night of my b-day having dinner with my son and my husband. The only thing that's changed about my b-day since having our son is I now get a b-day card from our sweet lil guy! :)

My birthday is on July 3rd and we are usually off camping somewhere! The past few years my MIL has taken the kids if they aren't with their bio dads for the weekend and I'll get a night to do what I want! Which I enjoy tremendously!!! But before I had kids it was never a worry and for the first 4 or 5 birthdays I didn't get to do anything!! So I def enjoy it now!!

We usually do something family orientated on our birthdays. Since our children are younger ( b/g twins almost 2 and a half and a four month old son) we don't like to leave them with anyone since that is asking alot. But every once in a while we do. My husband usually gets me a card and something little from the kids though.

I never really celebrated my birthday before my son was born so I don't celebrate it now. My hubby did buy me a cake and a gift though.

I love being with my family on my birthday. This year I went to eat lunch with my husband, daughter, sister, and parents. Then I left my daughter with my parents and my husband and I went out for a few hours. It was nice.

In my family anything i used to do is non existant , my birthday was spent like every other day getting home from work, feeding the baby bathing him putting him to bed and having supper the only different thing was that the hubby cooked and i got some mom time (only after Storm went to sleep of course)

I do have to say for my birthday it used to be "lets go out and party" now its like "lets have a nice dinner as a family" its amazing how much it has changed since I had my daughter 3 1/2 years ago. My mom kept my daughter one year so my husband could take me to dinner but we picked her up right afterwards and came home to spend time together with her.
