I like to knitt. I've been doing it since i was 16. I cheat because I use a loom. But is it odd that I like to do it? I mean I can only make hats and scarfs... but it's way cheaper then buying them. I want to expand what I do but I don't want to buy the othere looms or the book to do them.

Just knit the "cloth", you have to use 100% wool, throw it in a pillow case and toss it in the washer on hot, if you have a top loader check it every couple of minutes, if you have a front loader it's more like ever 15 minutes or so until it is as felted as you want, don't let it go to the rinse or you have to start all over again. Once all your peices are felted just cut them as you would fabric according to your pattern. I buy old woll sweaters at the thrift store and make baby sized wool pants out of them, it works great.

Quoting Jan:

I'm learning how to knit, I want to be able to make diaper soakers because we use cloth diapers and wool is soooo much nicer then the plactic type covers. Have you thought about knitting large squares on your loom, felting them and sewing them to make different things?

I have a circle loom. I have thought of trying but I just don't know how.. I would like to..
