Husband and I dont seem to agree too easily, We seem to do allright on boy names.

I love the name Carter, full name would be Carter Edward Daniel Johnstone ( but i dont know what my hunny thinks about this- he is still away working ) Edward is my husbands dads name, and Daniel is my cousin who passed last year- The 2 middle names is a tradition on my side of the famliy.

I really could use some help with Girls Names, as well as middle names, And also suggestions for boys names would we welcome. My husband likes strong male names ( like Owen- Blake- Troy- Grant ) I like Carter, Brayden, Brendan...

Girl names have really been a challenge! I want something somewhat unique but not too out there! Please please please help!

What my husband and i did to decide on names is I went to a baby name site with tons of names. I picked out 50 girl names i liked and 50 boy names i liked and wrote them down with their meanings and origins. Then i had him and i look through them and pick out his faves so we have a few of each then we tried some first names/middle names combos and picked out a name we both adored- my little girl's name Rhiannon Bailey

It is really a good trick when you have a hard time agreeing because you know that all the names on the big list you already like some... you could always both do a list and go through them together!

I have all boys so I never got to name any girls, but I like the names Merica Michelle, Ribbon Rae, Gracelyn Hayz, I like the name Hannah and Hailey but are pretty popular. My boys are named Adrian, Caelyn, Isaiah and Nehemiah. My neice is named Carson Renee. My friend has a little girl with the name Tamika which I think is a pretty cool name, she's called Mika for short.

So many great names!!! My little girl iscalled Makenzi Shei, simply cuz I've always loved the names. My mum's name is Sheila, so after I decided on Shay, I changed the spelling to be more fitting to her...hence Shei!!

Girls names I liked were Freya, Tayla, Riliee, Corey, Kyla, Kennedy, Emmerson, Evie...oh so many!!

As for boys I would have named her Alistair...my BF's choice...but other choices were Lucas, Harvey, Kai, Jesse(but he hated this because he's Scottish!!) Cole, Malachy, Ellis,Finlay, Elijah, Chester, and Flynn...can you tell this is my fave subject!! :)

I had the same dilemma, I wanted the uniqueness, too. Do either of you have a heritage that you feel close to? My family is Italian, so our boy is Dominic (after my Great Grandfather, I always said that my firstborn boy would have his name), with the middle name Anthony (just happens to fit, but it's actually my hubby's first name). For the girl, we went with his side, which is predominately German. So I researched and found lots of interesting German girls' names. I pulled about twenty that I actually liked (excluding stuff like Brunhilda, lol, yes, it's real), and he chose from them, so we would both like the name. So, if we ever have a girl, she will be Emmi Rainna.
Also, if we ever have another boy, we might go with Remy, just because we like it. That, and I've been a huge X-Men fan since I was little, and Gambit (Remy LeBeau) has always been my favorite.

I like unique but not overly wierd names (although my hubby thinks some of them are still strange) When I was pregnant I like Declan Jay for a boy and Arya Gail for a girl. However after consideration we ended up naming my Daughter Charlee Gail because it incorporated so many family names and still sounded girly. How about Blake or Eddie for a girl, I like unisex names personally.

I named my son Brayden 7 years ago and had never really heard of it...now it is everywhere!! His name is Brayden Louis, the Louis is after my dad and it flowed nicely together. His name was easy to come up with. When we had our little girl a year after our son....What a nightmare!! We knew her middle name would be Jean (his moms middle name and my moms first name) but coming up with a first name was horrible. He didn't like any of the names I liked and he suggested one name that got his naming privileges revoked. I finally suggested Sidney and he said he liked it. I wanted no more arguing and so that was it. I liked the sound of Sidney Jean and it fits her so well!! Now, names I like for a boy are Ethan, Aiden, Connor, Max, and Jack. Girls names Avery, Bella, Tatum, Teagen, Grace, Taylor, and Harper. Good luck! Finding a name is harder than anyone ever tells you it is going to be!!

Try this website: http://www.nymbler.com

Sounds like you and your husband have a name style you each like - you can go to the website it will use the names you like to make more suggestions. Maybe you can find a middle ground. For example, from the boys names you listed, the program suggested girls names such as Ava, Megan, Lesley, Amelia, etc.... This was a big help when my husband and I were choosing a name. Good luck!

We were in the same dilemma. I liked some names and my hubby didn't. It was a real challenge. We ended up settling on Toulla Grace. (Pronounce the first name like Hula but with a T). It was unique enough for us (my hubby is irish) but normal enough that she would not feel out of place when she went to school. Our boy's name was going to be Ronan Michael. I don't know if you or your hubby would like either of these names, but hope it helps!

My son's name is Wesley Shane (Shane is my hubby's name) We call him Wes for short, I like it as it's not too common where I live (I don't know of any wesley's his age, and have not personally met any adults by that name either), but's it's a good strong name that is cute as a child, but masculin for when he is an adult.

With our second, we were told at 19 weeks we were having another boy & decided we would call him Camden James. We both like the familiar of 'Cam' but I have a relative named Cameron & Camden (Australia) was where I was born & James is a traditional middle name in my family. But then at 31 weeks, we had another scan & OOPS, they buggered it up & it was a girl! We had NO idea. So what we did was go through the baby name book separatly & write down names we liked, hubby's theory was that if we had names that matched, it would be a good start. NONE did & I HATED all his names. We knew that her middle name would be May, as it is also mine, my mother's & my maternal great-grandmother's on my grandfather's side, so it had to go with that.

We narrowed it down to Audrey, Mina (as in Harker, from dracular) & finally, one that wasn't in the book, but I loved, Isla (said Eye-Lah), we ummed & ahh for weeks & when we held her, we knew she was Isla May.

We wanted something different for our daughter (our son actually came up with it) so we called her Deija-Marie. She hates her full name cause she only gets it when she's naughty. You pronounce it dayjah. Also love Devon, Peyton and Charlie for girls.

Our boys names are Carson Arron and Ethan Jacob. Love Hunter as well..... good luck and congrats!

I loved naming my children, although my husband was very easy going, so maybe I had it easy! For boys, I like Tristen, Jack, Charles, William (Billy), Thomas... Girls names are so fun, my daughter is named Erica Linds, after two of my best friends, and the list of girl names I had when I was pregnant with her is endless! Chloe, Maisie, Lola, Audrey, Emma, Lanie, Ava, Cora (that was one of my faves), Violet, Bella (another favorite). I wish you the best of luck, it really is hard, but so much fun!!

For a boy I like cute but also names that are classic namews such as: Jack and Charlie(Those are my twin sons names) Cooper and Parker

For Girls I would go with Cutesy names but also something they can ggrow up into such as: Avery,Quinn,Lucy or Macy,Grace and call her Gracie while she's little,Cadence and call her Cady while she's little. I could name off girls names all day.

With middle names I would try to stay away from the same old boring Marie,Lynn and Anne and go for more unique and original middle names. I have a Justice Raea as my oldest daughters middle name.No one saw that one coming. Good Luck and I guarntee anything you guys call him or her will be perfect. Congrats!
