I don't get out much either. I am 28, my husband & I have been together 6 years & married 5. We have a very demanding 4 year old daughter. We both work. Luckily we have a really great preschool that she goes to. When we get home, she demands most of my attention (dad doesn't help much with anything, including her.) I am dying to have some "ME" time or even just friends to speak with during the day. Just reading on this site, if I take a break at work has helped alot, to know I'm not alone in this. I live close to Dallas, TX & most of my friends that I had before kids have moved away. The few parents I meet these days seem to party all the time & send their kids off with family members. I don't like that either. I cherish my time with my daughter since I have to work. Any of you feel free to message me, would love to make some new friends.

My name is Brooke. I have been married for almost two years. My husband and I have a five year old daughter and twin six month old boys. My husband works full time and I chose to be a stay- at- home mommy when I had the twins. It has been quite the adjustment! I graduated with my B.A. in December. Hi Amy , i'm 24 i have a 2 year old boy. My husband works all day and i have a full time job but when I'm at home it gets really boring .. I don't have a lot of friends the i can relate to, I'm new in this hope we can talk some more and it makes me feel so much better the is other moms that they feel the same way the i feel.

Hi Amy! I'm 25. I'm in a similar situation. My fiance and I have 2 children between us; my 3 year old son and his 10 year old daughter. He works full time and I've been a stay at home mom since April. I'm returning to school this fall, starting Saturday. I only have to complete one semester. However, I have concerns of managing my time. I understand it's a balancing system and it will provide a better life once I'm done but a small part of me feels guilty in a way.

I am a physician. I graduated from school of medicine in 2005... I got married in 2008 and i gave the birth to my first child in 2010.. Being a doctor on call all the week and beong a mom wont work together.. so i left my job and decided to have another baby and my 2nd baby was born in Aug. 2011 now i decided to go back to work but i have to pass many exams. so im studying now at home preparing myself to the 1st exam in aug. 2012 wish me luck...

I forgot to say that my husband is out of country all the time, he works as sales manager so he travels so often..

Hi, 27 yr old sahm of two kids. Almost 7 yr old son and just turned 2 yr old daughter. My kids father works on the road is home MAYBE four times a month. We have been "together" for 8yrs. Im a college drop out before kids and dont have the time or money to go back lol.

Hiya All :) I'm Sam,23, with my hubby to be 5 years....not quite made it down the aisle yet lol. We have a gorge lil girl who is 14 months and are due baba number 2 in January 2013 all going well. If we have a lil guy I'm done and dusted having babies but if we have another little girl I would like to go again.
Hubby to be is a store manager and works 10hour shifts so I can relate to being home alone with baby. I'm the first person out of my friends to have a baby so I find it hard to find people my own age or similar to chat to.
Has any one else found that since they're a mum people no longer invite them out or include them in plans ?
As for the not wanting to go out,I'm not a big party person either but I was away for a hen weekend and it was torture. I cried everytime I got off the phone to lil miss and when her and her daddy came to meet me at the train station I bawled crying as if it had been months since I saw her lol.

Hi megan... non off my close friends that i went to school with have kids or are married so ive no one really to compare notes with or get advice or tips , except my mum but she only bottle fed us so she wudnt know much about breastfeeding... even tho my husband will be home with my daughter and mum lives right beside us i still dont want leave her im dreading having to talk to my boss about this he not easiest talk to work is very very scarce here in ireland so anyone that has a job is lucky... do u find it tough with ur husband working alot ? going back to school also for ur degree very good ur living proof that ppl can have kids and still continue with education if they wish to :) good on you ...

Hey! I'm Megan, 23 married for 3 1/2 years. My oldest son will be 3 on the 17th of this month and my baby boy will be 1 August 10th. My husband works in the oilfield as a commercial diver so we spend a lot of time alone without him. It also makes it difficult for me to work, which I'm totally ok with cause I can't imagine leaving my babies. I go back to school in August to finish my degree. I find it pretty difficult to find young families to relate to especially since where we live is mostly retired people!

Maybe i will do the year also but kinda wean her gradually try get her take my breastmilk from a sippy cup. she can hold cup now been handing it to her with milk in it my own milk but she just cant suck milk out, my daughter same way i give in cant listen to her ben upset sometimes she wont settle for anyone i have do it myself, my mum had 8 off us and sometimes she wont even settle for her... ppl keep telling me we have her spoilt, if she is it wasnt on purpose we only have her so obviously she gets alot attention.. dr can be helpful sometimes ur public nurse can be good.. if u have one... everyone says do different stuff can be over whelming at times... advice i was giving about trying wean baby is leave the house for a short bit get someone else to feed the baby as a baby can smell u even if ur in another room. a lady from le lech told me that!!!!

no its not bad you can breastfeed longer than a year if you feel comfortable i only want to up to a year but its hard for me to see him scream and cry n throw a fit so i give in my husand can get him to bed without feeding but he just has to take him downstairs so my son cant see me but through the night he wakes up but, hopefully i can get something maybe some advice from a doc to help me

hi.. yeah pre-elampsia pretty serious i was kept in hospital i was 14stone.9lbs start pregnancy when pre eclmpsia set in i shot up to over 18stone my whole body swelled up and i suffered with my pelvis from 3 months all in all found pregnancy tough but worth it now.. im ment go back work end august trying to give her bottle she refusing it 100% its worrying cuz she has to have somethig she maybe had 4 bottles when she was born cuz she was jaundice but she put up battle but that was first weeks off her life.. i feed on demand too and she uses breast nod off sometimes is that bad?

Hey Amy,
I'm 24, my husband and I will be married for 6 years Aug 4...still going strong and completely in love!!
We have 2 boys, Gabriel 4 1/2 (9/14/07) and Michael 13m (05/12/12), we definitely want more kids, at least 3 more. :)
I intend to go back to school for midwifery eventually but it isn't a high priority right now. Planning on training to be a Doula and lactation consultant for now.

i almost had that with my 2nd chlild i had too much fluid so they had to monitor me every week, its normal for them to be runny where your only breastfeeding n when you start baby food or formula than they will start being thicker. my son still has thgem when he doesnt want to eat baby food but if i were ou id start trying to introduce a bottle now because my son will be 1 in auagust n he wont even take a bottle im not sure how to stop him from wanting breast milk

Im same way having my daughter was the best thing ever and i just wana be there all time but unfortunetly i will have to go back to work at some stage but we will see what happens, i got pre-eclampsia at near end of my pregnancy so it was difficult but it was worth it all.. dose ur son have really runny nappies im finding it hard to know whats normal or not? i dont know anyone thats breastfed so have no one compare it to... also she used have lots dirty nappies per day but now she goes few days with no dirty nappy is this normal ? :)

i still breastfeed my son as well so i cant leave him anywhere but im not a partier n dont like to go out much either its not my thing id rather be home and spending time with my family they are very important to me

My husband at home right now no work out there but i still dont want leave my daughter .... im 26 got married in 2009 been together 8 years... u sudnt feel quilty about going out at all dear if ur kids are looked after go out enjoy urself, i was never big one for going out anyway and i dont feel like im missing out on anything im breastfeeding my daughter so thats make difficult go anywhere as im quiet shy bout feeding her in public so stay home lots it easier...

I'm 23 i have 2 kids as well, my daughter will be 3 october 16th and my son will be 1 august 13 ive been with my man for 4 years married 2 july 24th. he works a full-time job and i am a full time mom and wife i do babysit sometimes but i totally know how you feel I love staying home with my kids and taking care of the house but sometimes need to get out but when i do get out i feel super guilty about it so i dont get out i have only been away from my kids twice since they were born
