when i make bottles up smalls lumps of milk are floating at the bottom of the bottle & dont seem 2 disappear no mater how much i shake them, ive even tried washing them then remaking bottles but still no joy, please help!

Use a small hand mixer or formula mixer. I have one by Munchkin that I found at Target and it is great!

I use the formula mixer, it's a powerful little device. My husband has even used it to mix his chocolate milk, LOL. They are at Babies R US for $4.99.

I mix mine with hot water in the bottle then run the bottle under a cold tap until it's the temperature that the babies like.

this is what i do. I mix the formula and water in a cup and stir it with a spoon then pour it in the bottle. This way there is no lumps Good Luck

Use warm water. I have noticed when I use cold water, then I get lumps

My daughter (6 wks old) will not take a warm bottle. She wants it at room temperature and I find that I always have clumps in the bottom of the bottle. I usually just take a butter knife or a straw (something long enough and skinny enough to reach the bottom) and run it over the clumps until they break up. Then I shake the bottle again to make sure it is disolved. If not, I just repeat until I have it all mixed well. I also carry straws in my diaper bag for this reason so if I'm out and need to make a bottle I can break up the clumps and throw the straw away. Hope this helps.

I have this problem when the water isn't hot enough! Try mixing them when the kettle has only been recently boiled, don't let it cool down so much, works for me!
