My son has been breastfed up untill now. I have introduced cows milk but because he eats so little, I am mixing NIDO (It is a growing milk from 1 year onwards) in his cows milk to give him the extra nutritian. On the container it gives directions to mix with water, but he will not drink it if it's mixed with water.

Is that okay?

We also do a half-and-half split. My son is 16 months and when he gets a bottle I make it half formula (the toddler formula) and half regular milk. That way he's getting the nutrition of the formula and the other stuff he needs from the milk. I make the formula first (4oz water, 2 scoops powder) and then top it off with milk.

NIDO is like a formula for toddlers if that makes sense. Nestlé NIDO Nutrition System is a range of growing up milks, formulated to meet specific nutritional needs of your growing child. Different ranges for different ages. Most moms I know here where I live use NIDO when their toddlers come off formula.

Elfrieda - I'll definitely try that. Half milk, half water.

I don't want to ask my doctor because he'll say plain milk is fine. But I'm a first time Mom.

I feel like that might be too much. What I do when I give a 4 ounce bottle to my son (13 months) for nightsnack is I put 2 ounces of whole milk and two ounces of water with one scoop of formula. Half and half. Originally it was to get him used to drinking milk, but now it's to use up the formula. :)
